The villa is located in the small rural hamlet of "Boa Vista" 2kms to the local town of Santa Catarina. There is a local bar at the bottom of the track. Basic amenities including a well-stocked mini-market and a tempting café/bakery can be found at the heart of the village, home also to famed kilns producing Santa Catarina terracotta tiles, many of which adorn terraces and swimming pool surrounds across the Algarve. Cuisine: Traditional flavoursome country dishes can be enjoyed at a handful of local eateries while a greater selection are but a short drive in any direction! Beaches: For a taste of the Algarve’s renown beaches, head to Tavira Centre to take the charming boat ride to the beach Island. Here you will find long reaching golden sands, an excellent choice of restaurants, and the cool, crisp Atlantic Ocean. A day out not to be missed! Nature: The surrounding hills and valleys covered with ancient olive, cork and carob offer a rich tapestry of flora and fauna to be discovered under sunny blue skies, while the vast Ria Formosa Natural Park, stretching from Faro eastwards is a must visit for nature lovers.
