It is hard to summarize everything I enjoyed about the hotel in just 2 or 3 sentences :)
Upon arrival, we were greeted with one of the most delicious mango juices that I have ever tasted, along with smiles and hellos from all of the staff. THEN - I couldn't believe it - one of my friends mentioned that it was my birthday the next day. When my friend and I were brought to our room, we were told we had been upgraded to the luxury suite to help celebrate. The room was gorgeous. There were a few cultural/traditional decorations, but it was very modern (and there was a lot of natural lighting with the large window). The bathroom is worthy of its own review as well. It was beautiful and you could tell the thoughtfulness put into its design. Unfortunately I did not make time to use the bathtub, but the shower was amazing.
The next highlight was the restaurant area (with a beautiful pool in the center of it). Again, my loss for not making the time to take a dip, but I certainly made sure to have every breakfast - and bite of it, for that matter. The breakfast was included in our stay. Usually I expect a satisfactory meal that is more utilitarian than enjoyable. I couldn't believe how delicious everything was. Honestly, my favorite meals of the trip. If I remember correctly, the chef did his studies in Dubai; I was very impressed. The breakfast was three courses - you start with a delicious coffee or latte, fruits, and then come the main courses. You have to try the pineapple jam!
Check out was a sad moment for me because I did not physically want to leave! But alas, my flight and work the next day awaited. The host was very gracious and allowed for a later check out given the late departure time of my flight, and of course, they allowed us to keep our bags there while we took one more trip into the city. As we were leaving, they gave us a special gift that they provide to all guests.

The city is very clean and safe. So many activities to do. So many places to see. You don't even need to sign up with a tour company to visit places of interest except to see the gorillas. You can take public transport or a taxi, or a Moto (motorcycle taxi) to any destination, although the busses are crowded. World class art galleries....and beautiful nature...and many more good stuff.

Kigali is a beautiful city—the cleanliness, calmness and general orderliness—it’s a tourist’s delight! I enjoyed my tour of the Genocide Memorial: it’s a well thought out idea. Kigali’s functional city infrastructure; street lights, well done pavements, speed limits, disciplined driving and the constant innovations are such a breath of fresh air. It had been a while since I visited and I highly recommend it!

Spectacular city. Extraordinary people.
Spectacular city. Extraordinary people. The genocide memorial is a must. Humanity at its worst and how the country has turned around. Remarkable and to be commended. Absolutely safe. So beautiful. The roads are spotless clean.
Location is great and very reasonably priced! The hotel is within walking distance of coffee shops and a number of great restaurants.
All the staff were very friendly and sought to accommodate any requests. They connected me to a driver: Jean Paul of Nile Tours and Travel Agency. Jean Paul was incredibly helpful and quickly understood what I was interested in seeing in and around Kigali and made it happen. He even helped out when a pre-booked tour with a different agency for Gorilla Trekking threatened to fall apart.
So let’s start off with the positives ,
The location is really good, right in the city centre and walkable distance to some nice cafes and restaurants. It’s also very handy that it’s right next to the Marriott as it’s an easy landmark for tour guides to navigate to and from.
Also I want to shout out Omega and Shariff who work in the apartment block and were very helpful with helping us acclimatise and suggesting local spots to watch the football, grab something to eat etc. They were both very helpful!
Yambi is a great place to stay, I was very happy there for my two-week stay.
Beautiful garden, bright colours and birds chirping cheerily during the day. Balcony overlooks, with a nice view of Kigali city.
Fantastic breakfast. Friendly staff. Mini bar (beers, sodas)
Just a short short walk away from the main road, from which one can get a bike or walk to shops and restaurants.
The Five to Five staff were excellent! The airport pickup was timely and accommodated all of our group and luggage. We were well received and plenty of help getting our bags to our rooms. The rooms were comfortable, air-conditioned, and clean. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast before we departed. I would highly recommend if needing a transit hotel or stay in Kigali!
The hotel staff are friendly and do their best to accommodate every guest's needs. Room's cleaning was done throughly and regularly. The breakfast options are healthy and variable. Gym and swimming pool are well maintained.
The hotel's location is in a very quiet area, abit far from the city centre yet reachable by taxi or motorbike.
