You can take public transport or a taxi, or a Moto (motorcycle taxi) to any destination, although the busses are crowded. Kigali is a beautifully maintained city. Attractive public spaces, neat and clean. Everything works. I love the motorbike taxis - so easy to get around. If you don't know it, try Repub Lounge for a meal - good food, great atmosphere.

Kigali is a beautiful city—the cleanliness, calmness and general orderliness—it’s a tourist’s delight! I enjoyed my tour of the Genocide Memorial: it’s a well thought out idea. Kigali’s functional city infrastructure; street lights, well done pavements, speed limits, disciplined driving and the constant innovations are such a breath of fresh air. It had been a while since I visited and I highly recommend it!

Spectacular city. Extraordinary people. The genocide memorial is a must. Humanity at its worst and how the country has turned around. Remarkable and to be commended. Absolutely safe. So beautiful. The roads are spotless clean.

They connected me to a driver: Jean Paul of Nile Tours and Travel Agency. Jean Paul was incredibly helpful and quickly understood what I was interested in seeing in and around Kigali and made it happen. He even helped out when a pre-booked tour with a different agency for Gorilla Trekking threatened to fall apart.
