Location is nice, just below the mountains. It's an old renovated building, it has its charm, it's quite unusual inside, but in a good way. Restaurant makes delicious pizza. Rooms are fine, each has its own router so wifi is very good, bathroom and toilets are clean, although small. We had some issues with packed breakfast (restaurant didn't work that morning), but kind staff at the reception solved it in a professional way.

It's very quiet and the surrounding scenery is stunning and restful, unlike the accommodation next to Lake Bled which feels crowded and noisy. On the second floor, standing on the balcony, looking at the Alps in the distance, wow, feel especially good!
Newly opened in April 2009 after extensive renovations, this 4-star hotel, first opened in 1906, is only 656 feet from Lake Bled and in the immediate vicinity of the train station.

- Close to a few restaurants (within walking distance).
- Spacious room with a mini bar, safe, and smaller closet to hang a few items.
- Reception staff assisted us with reservations for taxis and restaurants.
Hotel Astoria Superior is within a 5-minute walk from Bled Lake, a lush park and Bled Castle. The bar features a summer terrace and a wellness center.

The staff was generally nice, bed and room were clean and large (we took bedroom with kingsized bed). Bathroom was larger then expected. Breakfast was pretty diverse and great.

Check in was difficult as the proprietor only spoke Slovenian but then got a relative who was able to speak English.
I booked a double room with own private bathroom but got a twin room with shared bathroom. Initially the bathroom had no lock and I had to ask for toilet paper. The shower only stayed hot for 5 mins.
Breakfast was fried eggs and toast and cornflakes, no fruit or other choices.
Communal kitchen doesn’t have a bin.
