A city full of culture and charm. So many interesting things to see, do and experience. The only thing that was a bummer for me was that I arrived on Sunday and most of the shops, cafes and restaurants were closed by 8. Small city with good wine, coffee and food.
Small city with good wine, coffee and food. Prices are low compared to western europe but higher than the rest of the slavic world. There's not a huge amount to do but it's well-connected to Ljubljana and the Austrian border. Would recommend coming here in the summer-time. There are also fewer hostel options for those backpacking, the market is more geared towards hotel stays. Beautiful and cozy city, ideal for walking as the center is compact. I loved the old buildings and narrow streets that add to the romantic atmosphere. The apartment is above the restaurant. There was a little noise in the evening until the restaurant closed, but not to bother us. The location is ultra central. We chose this city Maribor to rest on our way home from Italy. Even if you don't choose to stay at this location, I recommend that you at least stop at their restaurant. We stayed only one night while traveling on a motorcycle, but we really enjoyed it, the room was small, but very well equiped, everything was just where you needed it, it was very clean and comfy, we rested well.
