Expensive now due to inflation, but an amazing city with amazing views, historical sites and a lot of things to do. Also very easy to go around metro (you can pay it with credit card/contactless and even international cards like Wise and Nomad, which makes it a lot easier for tourists).
Definitely check Blue Mosque, Ayasofia, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Basilica Cistern. Also enjoy the opportunity to go to asian side!

Istanbul is a magical timeless city.
Istanbul is a magical timeless city. The historic section catapults you into an ancient, storied world and just outside the touristy areas is a bustling modern life. The people are happy and kind with a joy for living and selling. Just go for the ride and don't feel pressured to buy. Take a class on lamp making, perfume mixing or Turkish coffee making for added cultural immersion. Notice the wandering cats that are cared for by everyone and are happy for your attention.

Istanbul is one of the world's most beautiful cities.
Istanbul is one of the world's most beautiful cities. Furthermore, it is great to walk around - I like to walk from Sultanahmet to Beyoglu at least once every trip, then come back by the tramvai.

Istanbul is great, as usual.
Istanbul is great, as usual. If you are for the first time there, there are definitely few must-visit places:
- Blue Mosque
- Ayasofya
- Topkapi Palace
- Istiklal street
- Hafiz Mustafa Confectionary
- Tarihi Sultanahmet Köftecisi for the best meatballs
- Take a ferry to Kadikoy and feed the seagulls (don't take the touristic ships, take the public transport ferry, it costs just 20 lyras)

Istanbul is a totally different culture in itself.
Istanbul is a totally different culture in itself. I found it self sustaining. You can find everything there. Of course Busy roads and shops and people. But if you want to experience different culture, i would recommend going to Istanbul for the culture change, beautiful mosque, landscape.
You should, however, plan your stay and rides very carefully.

We travel to Istanbul often.
We travel to Istanbul often. We are becoming more and more disenchanted though. It is becoming expensive and the taxi drivers are a nightmare. Make sure you use metered taxis otherwise you will be fleeced.
Absolutely one of the best hotels to stay in Istanbul. Very clean room, friendly staff, tasty breakfasts with good coffee on terrace on top of the hotel. Great location.
They even offered us an umbrella on the day it was supposed to rain. Our taxi for airport we booked with Booking.com didn't arrive, and the hotel staff helped us with the taxi. We almost missed the plane because of booking.com and the hotel helped us.
The hotel is located nearby Taksim square, a nice start to explore Istanbul. The staff is really friendly and helpfull A++
From Istanbul airport you could take a taxi to the hotel for around 700-800 Lira. They don`t offer breakfast but have coffee, coockies, water and some fruits available in the lobby. Around the hotel are plenty of restaurants where you can have your breakfast.
It is a good location close to Taksim Square that is great for shopping, verry close to tram station that is great, cheap and fast way to reach Sultanahmet- historical part of Istanbul. Manager Mr. Burak was very kind and helpful with all advices and information. Great breakfast that they bring to a room. Super clean hotel.
The Best hotel in Istanbul for medium budget, very professional and friendly staff, clean and cozy place with a very good space. 3 mins walk from taksim square.
On checkout I forgot a camera and some electronics in the suite, the honest owner kept them until I went took them back👌🏻.
The hotel is tremendous and the room itself was spacious. They clean the room every day and overall cleanliness is spot on. The location is best next to Taksim Square and public transport is easily accessible. The staff is also helpful. Book this whenever come to Istanbul.
