The entire desert is a pleasure to stay in. 29 Palms I don't often stay in so it was nice to experience this side of town. I didn't realize how long a drive it is from Yucca Valley. My room was private and comfy and had a little patio set out front.

During my recent visit to the Flying Point Homestead just outside Joshua Tree, I was enchanted by the quaint and comfortable house, which exuded an intriguing and quirky charm. The cozy beds, invigorating warm shower, well-equipped kitchen, and reliable Wi-Fi all contributed to a pleasant stay. Laundry was nice since it was very windy during our stay and our clothes got dusty. The presence of bullet holes (!) in the old, abandoned cars and boats (!!) scattered around the property added a touch of mystery to the surroundings. The remote location, with its cool western vibe and hauntingly beautiful hills in the distance, along with the sight of rolling tumbleweed and the long sandy drive on backroads, made the decision to opt for a 4x4 rental worthwhile. Despite the remote feel, essential amenities and grocery stores were just a 20-30 minute drive away, which added to the convenience. Furthermore, the host was highly responsive, which enhanced our overall experience, making it truly unique and enjoyable.

I always love the desert so I always enjoy my trips to 29 Palms and Joshua Tree, especially at night time the desert looks amazing and the stars looks super bright and closed to earth. Great experience!

The rooms are run down, smelly and dirty at this Best Western Plus. We initially planned on staying 2 or 3 nights there but left after 1 night. Actually the same night we booked in I went down to the Fairfield hotel in 29 Palms and booked a room there for 3 nights as there hotel was clean and in great condition. Fairfield hotel had a warm pool too. It was disappointing to be at this Best Western Plus then have to move die to poor conditions.

The town was perfect for what we needed.
The town was perfect for what we needed. Hot meal and Starbucks! We stayed in a Yurt the night before...one word...amazing. Star gazing and just the experience was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend the Yurt camp at Twentynine Palms.

The house was virtually in the park.
The house was virtually in the park. I did not go into town for anything except a quick grocery run. I was there to enjoy hiking in the park and so this location was not to be beat! The views of town at night were like a Christmas display.

Nice little offshoot city in the desert, which has everything, Starbucks and such, but was still under COVID rules that were annoying.
Lots of art and a visit to the Visitor Center in the main street is a must.
Prices are normal and the Sattler Bros grocery store was a pleasant surprise.

I was greeted by name when I arrived. The grounds are well-kept. The room was invitingly clean. The staff, including maintenance is friendly and willing to make the stay an excellent one. I like that it is a roadside motel style, very mid-19th century feel. Totally unpretentious, unique and nostalgic. It is an older property and the staff was out and about making sure things were okay. The location is near a grocery store, The Jelly Donut, Joshua Tree, and convenient to the Marine Base.
We loved how the yurts were well equipped with all the essentials if not more! The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept on and I've been to many top hotels! The owner Erin was so thorough with the check-in process and was sooo informative. My girls have not stopped talking about our stay and kept saying they wished we could stay longer. I truly can't wait to book another weekend here.
I love how close to Joshua Tree it is (closer to the oasis visitor center entrance) and at a very reasonable price.
I usually stay at well known hotels such as the W, Westin, etc. So originally, I was suspicious of the price thinking it would be similar to a cheap motel and I was so wrong. I’d definitely stay here again for the price.
This was a very colourful and arty desert accommodation experience! I liked how each unit was it's own little 'house', and we had a porch to sit on and watch the sunrise in the morning. The AC was great, the bed was comfy and it was very cheap. Very close to Joshua Tree National Park. Happy guest.
We’ve travelled every state in the US some more than once. People say to
Me why do you like it so much. I reply the standards are alway good. My lord this trip they have been dreadful. The hotel charged us twice the floor was awful our feet were black. Yak
Beautiful location & close to Joshua tree park with a car. Great for stargazing and toasting marshmallows! Perfect little stay with everything you need. Host is fantastic at responding and offers a great manual/directions for the home.
The property was clean and for the most part the staff was friendly and helpful. Until I got a call at 10:30pm telling me I had to leave with my family in the middle of nowhere while all other hotels where booked to a music festival.
Very clean and comfortable room, including a well furnished kitchen and bathroom. Very nice garden outside and also
pool. Position very close to Joshua Tree National Park and to Twentynine Palms town.
We lived in Twentynine Palms for 43 years until we retired. This was our first time back after one and a half years away. This house was ideally situated for us to visit friends and places.
Very nice staff. Great bang for buck. Pool and hot tub were clean and working well. Very close to Joshua Tree park. 20 min drive to Yucca Kabob, a tasty place to get some solid dinner.
The dining area was clean and spacious. There was an ample variety of breakfast items from which to choose. Breakfast schedule is longer than most other hotels.
Very good location right in centre of town meaning you can park up and walk to see all the delights of 29 Palms. Also short drive to entry gate for Joshua Tree.
