The hostess was really nice helpful and welcoming, the breakfast was good we had eggs bread vegetables and fruit there was also a Vietnamese option noodle soup the room was good big window with a view and there were a few restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance but you can also take a bike. over all we enjoyed the stay very much

We loved everything about this place. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Always smiling and happy to help. A couple of them also speak English. There was room to park our car. We ate all our meals there and it was tasty. The swimming pool was a hit with our whole family.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mai Chau! The team treated us like family, even making us home woven scarves on our departure. The retreat is so so beautiful and peaceful, we wish we had stayed longer but can’t wait to go back some day! And even though we went during off season it was still stunning here (next time we’ll be back for warmer weather to utilize the outdoor pools). One of the highlights of our trip was biking around with Ung and seeing the village and the beautiful landscapes of the area (HIGHLY recommend)

We stayed in Ban Lac, it was great for accomodation, food, shoping and as a departure point for bike rides and trips. This area is incredibly beautiful - rice paddies all around as well as much other vegetation and farming. Beautiful wild nature in the mountains. The people are very kind and the local cuisine is delicious. Visiting by scooter or motorcycle would be best as the sights are spread out and it would be a little difficult to visit. After checking out La Maison de Buoc, I returned to Hanoi and had a flight back to Australia. If I knew that the trip would be so beautiful and memorable, I would stay longer. Mai Chau this season is very beautiful, even though there are no longer rice fields. People have harvested all the rice since mid-November. But it's okay, I visited Pu waterfall, Mai Hich stream, Thai ethnic villages, climbed Red Rock and Kiapaco Cave. It can be said that my trip was too short, I wish I could stay longer.Dean - 10Scored 10

Check the weather before you go, rain might ruin your trip. It is great to bycicly around in the green rice fields so go before they cut the fields. Mai Chau is a place for nature lovers, who want cal, relaxing hiking, exploring, have coffee and great food in simple yummy places

I like solo traveling so the trip to Mai Chau was what I needed after a long time working. It was and is a quiet, peaceful place, not many things to do, but a lot of things to see. I'm glad I came here on a motorcycle so I can go around and see many thing. For example cloud hunting( or cloud sightseeing, waterfalls, rice field under the shade of mountains as the sun coming down. I hope booking.com adds video feature since I record most of my videoDungatoVietnam

We had a spacious mountain/field facing lodge and admired the view from the room every morning. Exploring the area by bicycle (free rental) was a great experience for us. The staff was kind and hopeful. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners every day - great selections of traditional dishes. They even offered a traditional dance show after dinner, and I enjoyed taking a part in the dance with other guests. Lovely place !
