A bonus is that the neighborhood is very quiet. There are two small hotels with the same owner in the same building. The manager of the facilities was super friendly. I chose this hotel not just because of the location but also because the rooms looked anything but cookie-cutter at a VERY reasonable price for Madrid. It's a great base from which to visit Madrid Centro (Plaza Mayor, Museum de Prado, Retiro Park) and outlying attractions like Toledo, Sergovia, Avila and Aranjuez.
