    Beautiful place .

Beautiful place . Spent a week on a Le Boat barge which could sleep 10 with7 on board . Apart from the scenery the Lough keepers amazed me with their downright decency in dealing with novice sailors. Book any activity in advance as I was disappointed more than once trying to book the day before

A bit of a walk (about 25 minutes) from the twon centre but nice to walk along the canal bank and there is quite a lot of activity on the canal (4 trawlers passed through on my 40 minute visit) so it is interesting to watch the swing bridge operation

Lovely to be beside and watch the water. Decent paved path for wheelchair users and a nice stroll for friends and family. I recommend visiting when the weather is warm and avoiding during stormy days.

Very hospitable hosts, giving lots of local info, keen to help. Christina has the place very well organised, really nice room, good space, comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, and Jim followed up with an interest in what guests are doing. Great location on the Caledonian canal, outside your door, and it was interesting to see a couple of boats in the locks. Probably best to have a car, and parking easily available.

Quiet location. Very nice to relax. Clean and very good service. Always good tips from the very nice lady of the house.
