Great little bay to Paddle Board and enjoy the sun. The Beach club is good for families and the pools are Free to use if eating/drinking so you can make a day of it! Mushroom Espresso is a little cafe with nice food and coffee. However the standout restaurant is Soka Warung up the main road out from the beach.

Beautiful white sandy beach that is quite sheltered from the wind. Water temp great for swimming. No waves for surfers but you can access boats to take you to the breaks. Quite a few boat moorings but still plenty of space to enjoy a swim. Tanis fast ferries direct drop off from Sanua to Mushroom Beach.

Mushroom Bay has it all. People watching. The boat drops off and picks up here. It sounds like it would be busy, it is not. When the tide is out, it is a perfect place to walk and look at small tide pools. I recommend footwear. It is also perfect when the tide is up for just relaxing. The listed “easy “ to get to Beaches aren’t ones you can swim in the ocean. Moored boats, reef, coarse sand and rips make it difficult so you are forced to eat at resorts so you can swim in their pools. Luckily our hotel had a gorgeous pool! 90% of the narrow roads are full of potholes ,winding and steep so you need to be a confident rider if you want to scooter around. Having said all this it is a nice little island laid back little if any hawkers and some great restaurants. They also surprised me with their steps to address climate change. Most places use non plastic straws, showers are reclaimed sea water, businesses are forming co- ops to recycle plastics and I even saw solar panels!FionaAustralia

The beds were so comfortable, perhaps the best hostel beds ever. The staff there are so much fun, and so friendly, really enjoyed my stay here. The nights around there are a good time, whilst also turning in for bed early. Best of both worlds. You can rent motorbikes and book tours through them as well. All around a great atmosphere, thanks Panda and crew!

We were in a hut that could see the water (not ocean front) which was a beautiful view. The huts and grounds are well taken care of and there are many helpful happy staff. They helped us book activities and there is no shortage of things to do on site. We had a great private snorkel and a day trip to Penida. The bed was clean and comfortable and the location is great on Mushroom Bay. I appreciated the availability of gluten free bread and having breakfast at the hotel restaurant was a highlight.

I was worried what we had booked when we were driving in on the dirt road but once you get there and figure out the short cuts to walk to mushroom bay and along front of hotel on low tide you realize it's a great spot.
