Everything actually. There has only been one other hotel experience in my life in all of my travels I can describe as exquisite. This hotel exceeded all of my expectations, especially the staff during lunch and dinner service. Please treat them well! You have exceptional staff! If I ever visit Cork again, I will be staying at the Kingsley again!

I was welcomed by Raquel who surprisingly knows the same languages I know. The hotel has a great history including Charles Dickens and it was nice to be in those halls. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. I also used their SPA with pool and saunas. When I return to Cork I will definitely stay at the Imperial Hotel again

The English Market

This vibrant corner of Cork city centre has been a marketplace since 1788. Today its grand 19th-century hall houses colourful stalls that stock everything from freshly caught seafood to locally grown veggies. Pick up picnic supplies and tasty souvenirs downstairs, or tuck into traditional Irish dishes in the top-floor café.

This market is incredible; so much to take in, with all the different sights, smells and tastes. They have nearly every kind of food you can imagine, and all of the workers were kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend stopping when you’re in Cork.

You have to see it to believe it.

You have to see it to believe it. Longest fresh fish counter in Europe (I think) sooo many different breads ..... If you are self catering, you'll be spoilt for choice. If not, you'll wish you were by the variety of temptations !!

Great selection of homemade foods, jams, sauces, meats. The market is very well laid out, with plenty of space between the stalls. There is more than one exit and entrance, so parents, keep an eye on your kids. We went with teenagers. Gave them a few quid each, and they liked it

Good market produscts withpassionate and knowlegible stall holders. We were carefull to put our purchases into ordinary carrier bags before exiting and to know where we were heading as the surrounding streets seemed to have a high population of devients/troubled/ addicted/ homeless people.

Property has a historic feel and is well-maintained. Staff was very attentive and helpful. The back garden area (overlooking water and city) and sauna are wonderful spaces we enjoyed. Breakfast is tasty and a good value. Availability of off-street parking a nice perk. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is convenient - we walked to the English Market and down the hill for dinner.

Really wonderful place to stay. The staff is very responsive, and the hotel was quite nice. It's not an extravagant place but it is a very nice place to stay. It is close to everything a 5-minute walk from Cork City Uni and less than a ten minute walk to the English market area. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate area.
