We had the garden room. The setup, with the bathroom downstairs, is unusual but pleasantly surprised us. The room was big enough and decorated in a classical way that fits the style of the building. Breakfast was not special but sufficient. Location was perfect, a bit secluded but on walking distance to Trastevere.

Set in Rome, within 600 metres of Roman Forum and 700 metres of Coliseum, Il Monastero Collection provides free WiFi. Palazzo Venezia is 1 km away. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower.

The location is excellent - central, picturesque, but not too busy. Nice kosher food restaurants around. The staff was outstanding- they were nice, caring, genuine and helpful. Breakfast buffet selection exceeded our expectations. Great variety of delicious food which nourishes stomach and eyes, as it was beautifully presented. The rooms were spatious and beds were comfortable. We had two rooms. Both of them were nice and spotless. Bathrooms and showers were freshly refurbished. The bathroom amenities were qualitative and supplied in sufficient amounts. All in all, we are very happy with our experience here.

Set between the Coliseum and Piazza Venezia, the Romano is a boutique hotel overlooking the Roman Forum. The rooms are uniquely decorated and set over 4 floors of a historical building.

An absolute jewel of a small hotel. Extremely helpful before arrival. Top location for ancient Rome. Book early to secure a top floor room with terrace overlooking forum. Rooms are small but exceptionally clean and well presented. Everything sparkles! Even the terrace was spotless. Comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Perfect spot for short stay. Everything is easily accessible in 2 (long, exhausting) days. The absolutely charming gentlemen on the front desk will show you exactly how. This is "only" a 2 star hotel but there a many good reasons for the relatively steep tariff (top floor worth every cent). Plenty of bars/ restaurants. Head away from Colloseum for the better establishments.
