Hotels near Cheongnyangni Station, Seoul

The location is good where you can find a lot of food choices and convenient stores near by. The train station exit is like 1 30 sec away. There's also the airport limo (J W Marriott Dongdaemun) about 5 mins walk away. The interior of the hostel is nice.

Nice property close to so many shopping malls and restaurants. Close to many tourist sights. It’s a new hotel. Construction still ongoing. I wished they’d keep AC in the lobby and the elevator. Good staff and very clean. Bathroom layout and lack of proper windows were strange.

This hotel is in an older part of Seoul, not the glittery high-rises in the city center, but the building, originally from 1954, has been entirely renovated and is very clean, with every modern convenience. Personally, I loved the neighborhood and it’s hole-in-the-wall joints. The hotel is also a stone’s throw from the Jongno-5 subway station, so you can easily get to other parts of Seoul from this home base. The rooms are small but well appointed and well organized so they feel less claustrophobic than most Seoul hotel rooms. They provide hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels (note: Koreans do not use bath towels and wash clothes so if you absolutely need these, you should bring them). There’s even a dressing room with lighted makeup mirror and stool—which creates less clutter in bathroom with toiletries and serves as an extra space to store luggage. There is also excellent coffee downstairs—gratis! The hotel is family owned and operated and they are very welcoming and accommodating. They brought me a small plate of tasty, fresh cherries and cherry tomatoes, when I first arrived. They also helped recommend restaurants and businesses in the area (they’ve lived there for 3 generations!).
