On the mekong is as the name says located directly on the mekong. The views are amazing. The rooms are clean and really beautiful. Nice shower as well! The owner Henry & all the staff is super friendly & warmhearted. The cultivate a very concious interaction with the guests, staff and environment. Henry even asked us for our opinion on a building project on site. We would come back any time!

One of the favorite places I stayed in all of SE Asia. The views from the room and the deck were magnificient, the staff was unbelievably friendly, and it was within walking distance of all the greatest hits of Luang Prabang without being too "in the middle". Would love to have the opportunity to stay here again!

I liked absolutely everything about this hotel — from the staff to the location, the breakfast, the free bicycles, and the swimming pool. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and I wouldn’t change a thing. The hotel staff were outstanding — not only friendly and welcoming, but genuinely helpful. They assisted us with changing our train tickets and even helped manage bookings at other accommodations. There was truly nothing they couldn’t handle. The property itself is exceptional, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, yet it’s only a 10-minute bike ride through beautiful Luang Prabang to reach the old town center. A perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality — highly recommended!
