Boca do Inferno

The full force of Boca do Inferno (Hell’s Mouth) can be seen in winter, when storms cause the waves to hammer against this cave and inlet. The continued erosion of rocks has helpfully formed a small bay with an arch framing the Atlantic Ocean beyond – so, when the sun breaks out, take a short walk or cycle from Cascais and head to its sandy shores.

This is a great location for beautiful sunsets as well as...

This is a great location for beautiful sunsets as well as seeing the power of the Atlantic Ocean rush through a relatively small opening, the mouth of hell. I went first on a calm, sunny day, where the power of the water was relatively sleepy compared to the next time, when the ocean was a bit stormy and the water rushing into the mouth of hell, was powerful and awe inspiring. Walking from Cascais is great exercise and may be too long with a gentle incline for some travelers. Also, bring 20 cent Euro to use the restroom facilities, should you need them. The units are self-cleaning, so whatever you do, do not try to enter after someone has exited, as you may be stuck inside while cleaning. Wait for it to turn green, pay your 20 cents and wait for the door to open.

The very very BEST Location. A short block to the Center of Everything. Beaches walkable . Museums and points of interest walkable. Boca do Inferno is walkable. Amazing Restaurants nearby. Friendly staff. Clean small room in a small Inn...across from a wonderful breakfast cafe and also a French Style Bakery. For lunch or dinner nearby>>> Try Hifen///very creative and Baia do Peixe a few dorrs down.

Really spacious apartment. Everything you need. Washing machine, dishwasher. Walk to Boca do Inferno. Secure parking- this is very tight if you were to have a large car. When you confirm you are there, they come with keys and show you the access arrangements etc.

The apartment is fully equipped and spacious. It is close to the Boca do Inferno and coastal walk. It is a 15 minute walk from the tourist attractions in town. It was quiet and peaceful. There is a Pingo Doce supermarket about 5 minutes walk away.

Nice staff. Stress free check in and out. Great location and value. Pool at hotel and mini beach next to hotel was perfect for us. Also was a quick 10 min walk to bigger beach and 15 min walk to Boca do Inferno. Breakfast buffet had a good variety and a nice value. Junior Suite had a terrace overlooking pool and ocean and worked really well to comfortably accommodate our family of four.
