Location is excellent. Sintra is a small village surrounded by streams and woods. You can walk to restaurants and shopping areas from this hotel, which is situated by the forest. Staff if fabulous.

This hotel has a good location in very nice and luxury green area close to the golf fields. The staff was professional and very polite. The breakfast was very nice. Very big complement for the Kids Club and their team. Our kids were very happy and it's a place where you want to come back again.

Everything! The property is top first class in all its beauty! But the diamond of this location? It’s staff! I habe rarely been treated with sooooo much care, attention and professionalism! Lovely! Absolutely lovely!

Great location, swimming pools, great rooms

There were so many marvellous aspects to our holiday at Estalagem De Colares. We arrived in the area focused on visiting the marina at Cacais and the palace at Sintra. Instead, we were taken by Colares set in an area of beautiful mixed woodland with vast canopies. All so natural with the community coexisting essentially within the natural vastness around them. Estalagem De Colares is on the side of a fast running stream lined with natural foliage and, lucky for us, populated by a mother duck and ducklings. Met with a very warm welcome by Rose and Anwar, we were introduced to a fabulously set out hotel with so much more to it than can be seen from the road. The rear of the property, bordered by the stream was relaxing and ideal for sitting out. The living and dining rooms are caringly furnished with all that we could have asked for, so too our bedroom and bathroom. We were made so welcome and cared for with nothing too much for them. Rose and Anwar pride themselves on looking after people and we felt it. Our breakfasts were superb and nothing more could have been wished for. There was so much more to see than we had intended. You must take a Tuk-Tuk around Sintra and spend a whole day there to take it all in. The local beaches are close by with cliffs making each of their settings unique and photogenic. Very hilly all around there is a different view around every corner of this quite mystic natural park. We will return in the autumn to experience the changing colours of the native flora.

Wonderful location and a ‘classic’ old hotel where you feel like traveling back in history whilst comfortable, rooms and bed were quite cosy, given the enormous humidity of the guincho beach

I loved everything about this property. It’s perfectly located in the centre, just a short walk from the main square. I especially loved the view from my apartment on the third floor, and everything was spotless and exceptionally well maintained. I also want to mention how kind the cleaner was. She brought me fresh bread and coffee pods every day. Even though we didn’t speak the same language, her warmth and kindness came through😊 I would also like to thank the staff for their help with a small payment issue I experienced. Jessica, in particular, was incredibly professional and always responded to my messages quickly and efficiently. I’ve been using Booking.com and Airbnb for many years, and this was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Sometimes it’s not about how luxurious or expensive a place is—what truly makes a stay special are the people who work there and genuinely care about their guests. Thank you all for making my stay so comfortable and memorable. This was my fourth visit to Sintra, and I will definitely be staying at Pendoa again. Obrigada! 🙏

Hotel Location next to the plaza. Great view of forrest from the big terrace. Parking in front of the hotel. Great wifi. Wonderful buffet breakfast.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Sintra. The location is perfect for exploring the historic center, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was fantastic but I think the best part was the front office staff. Teresa is amazing. She helped make our stay easy and fun. She recommended ways to get to the places we wanted to go to and booked the tickets for us. She also recommended fabulous and cheap restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast was amazing as well. I was surprised, actually.

The staff were joyful and fun and full of mischief! Just how I like it! The beds were comfy and the dining hall was magical! The location was perfect - close to everything but whispering quiet!

Sintra WOW is a very welcoming and fascinating place, full of history and art. It's a historic villa with parterre and one upper floor, which makes you feel at home. It has a very homey vibe, around us vere a lot of art objects and art books. The apartment was big and well equipped, in the same time very old (the floor was stone, like in an ancient chateau) and very modern (television, "ok, google", coloured lighting etc.). The common area is huge (one place at the main floor and another at the upper floor) and has pool table and other games (scrabble, cards etc.), plus a piano and other instruments. The host is kind and helpful. All information for entering, staying and leaving were cristal clear and easy to follow. If I ever come back (and this visit was my third one in Sintra) I will surely search availability for this place.
