I really like the hotel staff (Murat, Arda and Sinan) who have been kindly and patiently helping me with all my tour questions/requests. They carried my luggage and showed me how to use the room facilities. They truly showed me how warm hearted Turkish people are 😊 Besides the restaurant ladies are kind and helpful too and I've enjoyed my Turkish breakfast every morning! I'm especially grateful to Murat, Arda and Sinan, they have saved me from personal situation as I'm the solo traveller. I'm sure you will be taken good care of by them too :)

The hotel was amazing and so was the owner and his staff. Rooms were beautiful and absolutely spotless, staff was very kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. The breakfast was plentiful and it was fresh and delicious, had something for everyone. There is a specialty coffee machine and tea available to guests 24 hours a day free of charge, cappuccinos were the best. The owner is just amazing, greeted us with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and a cookie, told us everything about the hotel and made us feel like we were at home.

Hotel location is great. We were on the top floor, observing the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Bosporus. Stunning view. Modern, clean, with very helpful and courteous staff. Taxi cannot stop in front of the hotel, because road is dedicated to trams. However, staff helped us with calling the taxi and caring to it our luggage. Hotel has a nice terrace on the top, great for evening glass of wine or hookah (offered there). Location is absolutely great if you want to explore the old city. All places like, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazar, Cisterns, are walking distance. Or just jump on the tram and go to the new city, or Dolmanbahce Palace. Breakfast is solid, with Turkish twist. Ask for Turkish Coffee. Be prepared to wake up 5am in the morning buy the prayers from adjacent minaret. Restaurants are everywhere, chippiest are off the tourist routs, deeper in the city. All and all a great place to explore Istanbul.

Basilica Cistern

This cavernous space is the largest remaining Byzantine reservoir in Istanbul. Constructed in the 6th century, it originally provided water filtration for the Great Palace of Constantinople, and continued to supply the Topkapi Palace from 1453 until the modern day. Opened to the public in 1987, you can now explore its lit walkways and be amazed by the decorative, water-worn columns.

    Another interesting place that doesn't merit the long wait, the high ticket price. This is only an hour's visit at most. Walk around this glorious city instead and soak up the atmosphere. I love places like the Cistern but this price doesn't match the experience and I can't stand being packed into a place with huge crowds of tourists.

    so glad I went here, you only need about 30 mins but its beautiful and worth a visit. Beautifully lit and apparently there are concerts there sometimes which would be amazing. 800 TL (July 2024) Please note, no toilets (well, I didn't see any).

    Atmospheric.

    Atmospheric. Not too busy when we visited, but you won't be alone. Admission fee but worth it. Exit is obvious, entrance around the corner. If there's a queue, say you want to pay with card and you might beat it, as we did.

    its a must visit place as while looking at it one wonders...

    its a must visit place as while looking at it one wonders the engineering and architect of that time and the kind of efforts which were made to create a nearly hidden, massive cistern. the ticket price of of 350 lira is a bit steep but since Sultanamet ( Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sofia( now when its a mosque) have no tickets, its OK. all are close by and could be visited in all in 2-3 hrs..

    Pristine location, right in the heart of everything — just steps from Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Sultanahmet, and prime dining spots. Breakfast offered great variety, including multiple egg options. Staff were incredibly welcoming and supportive, with special thanks to Talha for his outstanding service. For arrival, best to call ahead so the hotel can arrange a buggy pickup, as it’s in a no-vehicle zone (car drop-off is less than a minute’s walk away). Highly recommended!

The manager was very helpful with advice on sites to visit and shopping. The hotel has an excellent transport service that picked us up from the cruise terminal, and dropped us off at the airport. Everything else was in walking distance.

    This hotel has one of the most helpful and friendly crew I have ever experienced. The hotel is clean and modern, so you can relax as much as you can. I also really liked the breakfast it was delicious and plenty. The location was perfect for our stay, all the famous places like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace is about 10-15min walk. I absolutely recommend for everyone.
