Huge park, larger than Central Park in NYC. Lots of trails and paths, beautiful landscaping and gardens. Cal Academy of Sciences is a must visit with a planetarium, aquarium, and rainforest inside. We walked along the bay from Pier 33 it us a long way but plenty of places to stop grab food or coffee and you see some quaint places. We took a bus back from the visitor centre at the top by the toll gates. The view of the beach and the proximity to the beach and Golden Gate Park is top notch at this location and ample parking. I would stay again. It is walking distance to everything from the piers, Oracle Park, Union Square are and even Golden Gate Park. The staff is incredibly friendly. I was helped with so many little things. Housekeeping assisted and a time when my partner fell ill, the front desk assisted in helping me create a make shift ice pack when I reinjured my knee after hiking hills. Steps away from the Pacific Ocean and a couple of blocks from the Golden Gate Park. The hotels offers a safe and quiet oasis in the city. The Muni transportation system is right in front of the building so it’d be a convenient location to park and ride about the city.
