The Residence Inn Charlotte Southpark was absolutely the worst and most disgusting hotel that i ever walked into. We did not stay. It smelled of urine in the lobby and the back door of the lobby was wide open, meaning no sense of security what so ever. There were strange looking characters walking in and out of the open back door at 8:30 PM. You could hear dogs barking too. We asked for a quiet room as we had just returned from a long long flight from europe but they informed us that since they were a dog friendly hotel that they couldn’t guarantee us that we would have a quiet room. Also to top off that the front desk informed us that renovations were starting at 9:00 AM and that there may be some loud noises from the renovation contractors. Upon hearing that We immediately informed the front desk that were were not staying and to cancel our reservation and to refund our money.Guest review bySteve AUnited States

Room was clean, very spacious and even had a dining area and patio area. Location was excellent right in the parking lot of the Southpark Mall. Only a couple minor maintenance issues in the room, but nothing that we even asked them to take care of. Breakfast was good with plenty of options for everyone.
