I had a great experience at the hotel. The staff was friendly, and the room had everything you could need. My favorite part was the big bed near the window with a great view. The location was also excellent—close to shops, bus stops, and restaurants.

The location of this hotel couldn't be more central for most of the ground transport connections, great shopping, dining options, sight-seeing and places within walking distance. You are close to Union Square, China Town, the cable car runs and we even walked to Fishermans' Wharf - but beware the hills! All of the staff were incredibly friendly without being intrusive, although they really seemed interested in what we were doing and happily offered useful advice and tips that only locals would know. The room was very large, it was quiet and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. We really appreciated the eco focus of the hotel and the extra steps it took to maintain those credentials. I would 100% recommend this hotel and cannot understand the negative reviews based on the 5 nights we stayed here.
