The Patch is an absolutely beautiful B&B and the owners are so lovely and friendly. The whole experience from the moment we arrived to the minute we left was nothing short of exceptional. We booked the largest room which was incredibly spacious with a gorgeous en-suite and comfy bed. Careful thought was put to all the amenities in the room (even extra pillows, slippers and bathrobes) which made our stay even more comfortable and relaxed. There’s ample parking and we were able to easily come and go as we pleased. Evelyn and her husband are absolutely lovely and Evelyn’s cooked breakfast is 10/10 (my husband couldn’t wait for his full English every morning). They definitely added warmth and a home like feel to our trip. We absolutely loved our stay at The Patch and look forward to staying again soon! One night stay, 2 bed full flat. third floor.Great views up the beech good food nearby. Well equipt flat. Parking… I’d advise park outside 17 Marine Parade at 3pm unloading your stuff then take your car to at mill street/road? Car park upto 6pm (not expensive) then at 6pm (or after) park back outside the flat as it’s free from 6pm to 9am - cheers. Would use again if in Margate again ✌🏼🕺🏼

This is a wonderful property, and I do plan on returning. It does get loud especially at night. There is a car that speeds past the house with a very loud engine about 21:30 every night and again around 1:00. If you’re walking, the intersection is a little dangerous. I was nearly hit twice just going back to the flat. As for the amenities, this is one of the main reasons why I will be definitely re-renting this place when I come back to visit my family again. The sauna and whirlpool bathtub were fantastic on this trip specifically because it has been such a chilly week. They were a great way to relax after long days of family events. There’s also an awesome grill, but I did not get around to using it this time. In the kitchen, there is also a Nespresso machine that came in clutch on early mornings. There was also a bottle of wine in the fridge that I did not end up using this time around, but I felt very special when I saw it. There are a couple things that would’ve been nice to have. First, there are a few things in the kitchen that really need to be added. I had to get creative to be able to make things like pasta. if the host is able, please add a spatula, tongs, colander/strainer, casserole dish, and some basic seasonings like salt and pepper. There was pepper, but zero salt. Second, the bathroom mat in the main bathroom is a little too small for that space. If we’re not able to get a bigger one, at least getting one that goes in front of the shower and the tub would be nice. Continuing with the bathroom, the grout around the tub is coming up and probably needs to be resealed. It would also be pretty nice to have somewhere to put the towel that’s near the sink so I don’t have to drip water across the floor to dry my hands after washing them. Finally, the dining room table that’s located in the mud room, the table needs either an additional bracket to hold it up or potentially a different style table.

Very friendly and detailed instructions emailed a few hours prior to arrival. Very clean and tidy and clearly cared for. Area felt very safe with car parking right outside bedroom window. 3 adults and a 17 year old, we only stayed for one night prior to a 5am euro tunnel crossing but would've been quite happy staying for longer if we'd have been on holiday. Quiet area and very comfortable accommodation- very versatile, with a (huge) double bed, a double pull out sofa and several other chairs/sofas.

This well-run location is an absolute gem and I'd be delighted to be able to stay again sometime in the future. The rooms were well equipped and spacious, the dining and breakfast experience were exceptional and the bar was well stocked and staffed to boot! My partner and I were both pleasantly surprised by this upscale venue and felt very well looked after by the friendly and obliging staff throughout our stay. Thank you so much, this was a real treat and highlight of our holiday!

Our room was lovely, very well equipped and exceeded our expectations. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming and made us feel really comfortable. The food was delicious, we couldn’t have asked for more. A fantastic weekend away.

The room was perfect, everything was lovely and comfortable.

There is a beautiful charm, fantastic staff and design detail, wonderful location (make sure to take in the seaside and Walpole Tidal Pool vibe), delicious restaurant on site, and great comfort (bed!) with terrific shower, heated bathroom floor, best towels, so many things. Margate is filled with interesting, friendly creatives and I would return!

The property is very cleaned beautiful and well organized

Amazing building and rooms.. best breakfast in months, attentive and very friendly host. Went for work and will be going back for leisure very soon. Not someone to recommend usually but sticking my neck out and saying go for it. Lots of interesting history and just 10 mins walk from seafront.

Nice, clean, comfortable, reasonably sized, well-maintained private ensuite room with towels, shower gel,soap, coffee, tea & kettle all provided. Flat-screen TV & free Wi-Fi connection. In a modern house on a quiet estate. Plenty of cupboard & storage space. Carpeted with nice curtains. Excellent value for money.
