I had a short stay as was taking the Indian Pacific to Sydney after two overnights but did a tour of the Mint on Friday and it was most interesting and I did not know of it until receiving the information from Booking.com....as I was able to see my son and family during my short stay I was not a tourist so unable to recommend except a lady on the IP told me how great is the bus where you hop on or off so that may be of interest to visitors.

A very interesting place to visit.

A very interesting place to visit. Lots of history and nature. Every tour was interesting, well run and full of new and great information. The tour guides were all easy to understand and full of knowledge. The food included in every tour we took exceeded our expectations. Wonderful fresh seafood selections everywhere we visited. All tours really take care of the natural environment, no rubbish on the beaches here. A good example of mixing tourism with care and understanding in order not to pollute the environment.

If it’s your first visit, you’ll love the local history, stunning views, beautiful beaches, and the old Whaling Station—with an old ship you can explore and a cosy café full of curiosities. The ANZAC display is a highlight, letting you follow a real WWI character’s journey. There’s a replica of the Endeavour, small museums, top spots to eat and great cafes all around town, plus loads more to discover. Perfect for anyone keen to soak up Aussie heritage and charm!

Busselton is constantly changing and getting bigger.

Busselton is constantly changing and getting bigger. There are plenty of good restaurants all within the town site. Having said that it holds its country charm and is well worth a visit. We like Tai food and Busselton has a fantastic one. Pub grub no problems there and where we stayed top notch restaurant. It's location allows you to use it a base station like we do and travel out daily to other exciting areas, like Augusta for migration whale watching on a 37ft vessel. Four different types of underground caves which are simply spectacular. Visit the Capes Raptor Centre and see Albie the owl. On your way down you will pas through Cowaramup a country town where there are dozens of full size crafted cows scattered throughout town townsite. Do not miss the bakery there and take the time to wander. In all there are endless activities for all ages down in this region.

Visiting on an overnighter the room was fresh and welcoming. We had a unit out the back with a glimpse of the ocean but still lovely. Small quiet town with a lovely fish and chip shop - would say the best I have ever had !Lovely friendly townsfolk, unfortunately we only stayed the night and didnt have a chance to venture and see the touristy sites

For the longest time, Mandurah has been coined as the retiree city for the folks of Perth, and it sometimes feels that way when walking along the Esplanade.... idyllic, relaxed, and somewhat serene, it does feel like a fairly modern regional city centre that lives with a much more peaceful pace to life. Still, and more recently (in the last 5-10 years), Mandurah has shown upgrades in a lot of public amenities, venues and structures! The Mandurah Forum is brilliantly large for a regional shopping centre; the newly refurbished esplanade and boardwalks are a delight, and the myriad of shops along the esplanade with the multitude of modern eateries all attest to its developing nature.
