Located in Parksville, a 2-minute walk from Parksville Beach, Coast Parksville Hotel provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Staff was super friendly and helpful, always rushed to hold the door coming in, loved the coffee bar and lounge area. Cleaning staff did an amazing job refreshing our room each day. Overall we had a great stay and didn't spend a fortune 😎

Featuring a shared lounge, bar and views of city, Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo is located in Nanaimo, a few steps from Nanaimo Museum. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and staff seemed very concerned that we'd be angry - the place is relatively new and there were a couple of other guests who were engaged in quite aggressive conversations with other staff at the time. Seems like there are some issues that need ironing out. However I have no complaints, we were given a beer each, went to park the car across the street, and by the time I returned the room was ready. Room was perfect, bed was huge, swimming pool was a welcome addition. It was only a layover but would have happily spent another night. I think the staff member who helped us might have been called Vern or something similar. He was a really nice guy.
