Very friendly and exceptional staff. The owner agreed to give us a room with a great view if waited a little bit and we don't regret that at all. The owner is highky talented as he was a part of a band and he played live music for the guests. The cook and the staff were simply amazing.

Property is located at a private location away from the hustle and bustle, and built like a resort. There are two hotels that serve excellent food at reasonable prices. There is also a shop and mini golf. Special mention about the exceptional service. Dunia from the.reception staff gave us Swiss charging plugs to charge our phones and watches.
Doris from the support team arranged to have my wife’s Apple Watch shipped to a local contact that she left behind.
The Bellevue is a 5 star hotel and it shows! Beautiful, historical, lovely, lush. Staying at the Bellevue was a big treat for us. We enjoyed it very much! Big thank you to Tamara at the front desk for being so friendly and lovely, and to the bellhops who opened the doors and gave us a warm greeting every day.
Beautiful hotel right on the river. Walking distance to everything including the train station. Great staff, breakfast provided. Was a great stay. I had a lovely room on the corner with a view of the river from both windows. Easy self check in as I arrived late.

Characterful city with impressive building and views, especially in the old town area. Good restaurants and a vibrant energy, but like most of Switzerland, not cheap. Only about 1.5 hours from Zurich Airport by train.

Not worth the money to book accommodation for even a one night stay. Only cheap & tacky shops, lacks character & charm - very small (but there are so many lovely quaint towns in Switzerland!), & forgettable. Was recommended an Indian restaurant by a local - & that too was lousy :(

Beautiful historical riverside town with a superb Cathedral . It has many interesting old buildings, towers and an Art Museum, (closed on Mondays). It’s a lovely place to wander around, but beware of cyclists approaching from behind with no warning, especially on the footpaths by the river where there are ‘No cycling’ signs, as we were nearly knocked over a couple of times. Eating out is quite expensive in Solothurn, and on a Sunday evening there were not many places open, but we did find a Chinese takeaway with a few tables inside where we had a nice meal. Solothurn is easy to walk around on foot and is quite compact. Be sure to look out for the beautiful Town Clock tower.

Beautiful small city in Switzerland.
Beautiful small city in Switzerland. A perfect stop over city should you ever pass through it. Excellent places to eat, a beautiful river running through it and some great shopping. You have to stop by Musik & Vin and pick up some excellent bottles of wine, in particular, buy the local Swiss wines -- absolutley incredible.

An excellent base for exploring all parts of that area of Switzerland but requires a car or use of public transport to get to the main sites and scenery. We use it as a great value base for exploring by car and you'd be hard pressed to beat it for quality and value in that capacity.

The town is small but has a great deal of charm, with cobbled streets and old buildings. The highlight being the castle.
If you're there in summer - and like swimming - do not miss a dip in the outdoor pool, the Freibad. You get a great view of the castle.

Nice little town just outside of capital city Bern. A train takes you direct. Be careful not to get off at Worb SBB but Worb Dorf, otherwise you will end up like me and having to walk 30mn in complete darkness down a long country road.

It's expensive, but I guess you're aware, I mean it's Switzerland.. :D But super beautiful, clean, mix of nature and city/shopping etc.
Cool places to eat and have drinks, nice parks, you can also visit the bears if you're lucky enough to see them.

Solothurn's Arsenal Museum has the largest public-access collection of medieval and renaissance arms and armour in Switzerland, and is a great mind-opnener to visit. Solothurn is a walled medieval town that suffered the ravages of the Wars of Religion, but now has historic buildings and architecture everywhere.
