A monumental property with amazing facilities and pools overlooking one of nature’s magnificent sites (the calanques). The views across the hotel are unmatched, so picturisque, it feels unreal! Highly recommend it. The concierge were extremely helpful in booking experiences and restaurants.

My favorite hotel in Marseille. Every year it’s a tradition in our family to stay there. The rooms are super light, clean, many pretty details. Wonderful view and very friendly staff. Suzanne Kaufmann cosmetics makes it feel like home. I love everything about this place, one of a kind🥰

Excellent location in the heart of historic Montpellier. I could walk everywhere -museums, monuments, shopping and countless cafes and restaurants. My room was cozy, clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly, helpful and very welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again!

One of the best theme decorated places we have been to. The kids loved it! Waterpark was amazing, and specially the water-bouncy castle. The terrance was very spacious and the whole room as well. Good AC.

Going around Marseille is easy, transportation is good and...
Going around Marseille is easy, transportation is good and with nice historical places to visit. A lot of outdoor restaurants around the port offer great foods. I love that there are lots of seafoods in the menu. There are locals who are helpful in pointing you to right direction.
There are neighborhoods (near the old port) that doesn't feel safe to walk around and streets are filthy with garbage.
Unfortunately there were protests in the City when I was there.

Loved the old town.
Loved the old town. Narrow streets and surprises around every corner. Graet small places to eat and drink. Tram system is great. Went to watch Montpelier Rugby home match and the tram stopped right outside the stadium. Fares reasonably priced. We went late September and combined it with a few days in Sete and a day trip to Nimes

We really enjoyed our time in Narbonne.
We really enjoyed our time in Narbonne. For us, it was the perfect size. There was enough to see and do to keep us busy, but it was still small enough that we could walk around, get to know the city, and really get a feel for the place.
The market was a highlight and a great place to explore, and we had some really good meals at the restaurants around town. We also made the trip to Les Grands Buffets, which was definitely an interesting and memorable experience. It was unlike anything else we did on the trip!
There were plenty of sights and interesting places to visit without feeling like we were constantly rushing from one thing to the next. Narbonne also turned out to be a great home base for exploring the Languedoc-Roussillon region. We were able to take day trips and see more of the area while still coming back to a town that was easy and enjoyable to explore on its own.
Overall, we really enjoyed Narbonne. It had just the right combination of food, history, things to see, and a relaxed, walkable feel. It was a great stop on our trip and a place we would happily visit again.

This was an excellent visit for a solo traveler.
This was an excellent visit for a solo traveler. There is a convenient bus from the train station into town and a lovely harbor. There is a good SPAR grocery store open 24/7 where you can find everything you might want to eat, snack on, or sip from your room. There are two close swimming beaches - be sure to bring water shoes because the beaches are small smooth rocks.
There is a lot to explore - small restaurants line the harbor. The boat trips along the Calanques (coves with steep cliff on either side) are a must and reasonably priced 21-25-29 euros. The electric bike rentals are fun. Cassis is a 20 minute ride on the train from Marseille.
It is easy to talk a day trip to Toulon, Ciota or other nearby towns.
I recommend a room with the harbor view - it is beautiful and well worth a small increase in price.
I will definitely return,

Great city, peaceful and easy to drive to near cities like Carcassonne and Narbonne to explore and visit. I wish I could have stayed more days exploring and walking around.
Perpignan is easy to drive although finding parking spaces can be tricky!

A charming town with lots of great, fresh seafood options. Stay away from the touristy, over-priced restaurants along the canal though. I highly recommend that visitors speak some French, there were not a lot of English speakers here and I was glad that I can speak intermediate level French. The beaches are beautiful, I especially enjoyed Plage de Baleine. Parking is easy and the beaches are all sand, no need to be concerned about rocks.

We go to visit the Ornithological park at Pont de Gau, so the town is secondary on our trip, but it is really a charming location, full of restaurants, and while most of them serve a lot of local meat and fish dishes, this time we managed to find a new restaurant with vegetarian/vegan options.
You can hear lots of romani music being played around the town, and the arena has bull 'teasing' events (Course Camargusise) frequently. '
The church feature the Black Madonna of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (Sara-la-Kali (Saint Sarah), the patron saint of the Romani people.

We went on a boat trip of the harbour, the cable car and the petit train. We would recommend all of them.
