- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 101 reviewsWe stayed in the main building, which had wonderful, unique architecture-kind of a cross between a castle and a church. Our apartment was spacious, with well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and laundry room. Our host, Paul, was welcoming, helpful with reservations, and informative. Also, great view of the loch and the castle out our window. We used this location as a base for day trips to St Conan’s Kirk, Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, Inveraray, Oban, and Glencoe Valley.Guest review byNancyUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 115 reviewsWe stayed in the Literature apartment. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Milk and cookies and a warm welcome from Carol to top it off. We made beautiful walks in the area (Oakwood, Lake Avich and inverinan) and had coffee and gluten free (!) carrot cake and lunch at the café. We had quite some rain but it was perfect. Very dog friendly as well.Guest review byE.Netherlands

Quiet village off the main road but within easy access of it. Some guest houses, a railway station ( Oban to Glasgow line ), bus / coach stops, a general ( food ) store off the centre. No restaurant, cafe, food stands, pubs nor bars however. Walking paths from the quiet road to the Duncan Ban Macintyre monument, quiet side roads to Stronmilchan (Old Military Road ) and along the river Orchy. Easy access by car, bus, coach, ( care if walking along the main road ) to Kilchurn Castle and to the Kilchurn Castle Viewpoint on the side road to Inveraray.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 8.0

views to die for/lovely home cooked breakfast and good choice/umbrellas and wellies provided for bad weather which is a very nice touch/friendly helpful staff. We didn't like disrepair in all areas of the building, and distance from main road to hotel - challenging. but an excellent holiday thoroughly enjoyed. Oban is a beautiful place to visit and many amenieties there with only about a 30 minute car drive away. Botanical gardens excellent to. All car parks cheapGuest review bypaulineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Riverside Cottage B&b is a fantastic place located in a paradise, beautiful, quiet, clean, cosy, adorable. Graham is a fantastic person, a great host, an artist, you should see what he can create with wood and, Graham and his wife love dogs and this is a super plus for me. Wish I will be able to return soon and enjoy some more of this paradise. Grazie e arrivederci, Loredana, Edoardo, Lella e Marisa.Guest review byEdoardoItaly - 10.0

Breath taking scenery. You can’t help but feel relaxed here. Lots of paddle boarders and kayakers with easy access to Loch. Some great places to eat - both Kilcreggan Inn and Taycreggan Hotel had great service and excellent food as well as welcoming dogs. Look forward to visiting this area again.Guest review byGillianUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful village, very quiet, with incredible views of the Loch Awe. There is not much around so be aware of that, but as long as groceries are done before there is no problem. There was a coffee shop there (not open every day), but we did not have time to try it out.Guest review byJeanneFrance - 8.0

Eredine is a very small collection of houses, within a forest location, halfway down a 25 mile single track road. It is very peaceful, and has walks on the doorstep. The nearest shop is 15 miles away,so preplanning is required. A car is a must here. It's steep and uneven location is not really suitable for people finding walking hard Nature is full on here so are the views of Loch and forests, great for a getaway.Guest review byClicketyclickUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Dalmally is actually a 15 minute drive from Ardbrecknish and there is a fantastic Kirk there you need to see. Some English home owners have their “private property” and “no trespassing” signs up which enrages me no end, this is my land and I’ll roam where I feel like it.Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We chose to stay in Cladich as we had booked a Highland Cow tour at the Cladich Fold. The planned route from Arrochar to Inveraray was scuppered by a landslide but easy alternative route in was just as scenic. About 10 miles from Inveraray to get an evening meal.Guest review byDavid BulleyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
