Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, and the restaurant has an incredible panoramic view over Chania – truly a highlight! The room was comfortable and clean, and one of the best features was the free shuttle service to the city center, which saved us the stress of looking for parking. Chania has everything - history, charm, restaurants, shops, plenty to do and see, or simply for sea and sand, which are in walking distance. We did two coach trips, and didn't need to hire a car. The locals were kind and funny and relaxed - great atmosphere.Guest review bySusan - 10.0

Heraklio was beautiful. The archeological museum is incredible. The history musuem is likewise. The underpopularized The Museum of Ancient Technology was faciinating.......The city is a fine landing place to Crete and offers much more on its own, however we found the graffiti to be overwhelming. I do not believe the slander of it to reflective of the intellegence of the residents of the city - from my interactions. Moreover the beauty of the archetecture is marred by the slander perpetrated. I can only think that the building owners are overwhelmed by the constant repainting required. Hate speech is not free speech but rather incitement.Guest review byHanaIsrael - 10.0

Amazing Resort and extensive facilities on site. Staff are amazing. Also one of the best mani/pedi I ever had at the salon. Resort is about 30 minutes from airport, and would say for a 5* Europe resort, this lives up to expectation, but don't compare to a 5* Caribbean or Mexico Resort, so bear that in mind. We stayed at the Ocean view room which had spectacular views. The Rocky beach was just fantastic with the lounges and beds, and considering how busy this resort is, never noticed it and never felt overcrowded, and you never had to reserve benches or lounges by the beach or pool, there was more than enough to go round and even more spare. A la Carte restaurants that were amazing and my favourites are Umi (Sushi), Azzuro (Italian), Thalassa for breakfast & lunch, Poseidon. A real let down of the restaurants was Nami, only delicious items were the Starters. Best place to stay when in Crete if you are looking for a mix of relaxation at the beach and exploring the island. Great sandy beaches, cool beach bars, beautiful old town filled with vibrant clubs and restaurants. The town is ideally placed so that you can rent a car, pay for an excursion or even use public transport (which is beautufly organised) to explore wild beaches but Chania and Heraklion as well.Guest review byMiljanSerbia - 10.0

Agios Nikolaos is a beautiful, clean, and very friendly little city. The central hub is around the pretty lake and harbour, the south of which leads to the cruise ship port (best avoided). The north, which is more residential, is where we found the best beach, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets. There's not a huge amount to do if (like us) you don't drive - technically Knossos is in reach by a 50min taxi or almost 2 hours on buses, which would've been too much of a stretch in the 30C+ heat. However, the local museum has loads of interesting artefacts (just beware it closes at 15:30), and the nearby olive farm that has animals and does free tastings and cooking and pottery workshops (workshops need to be booked in advance) was a highlight of our trip. We ended up spending loads in the very reasonably priced shop. There's also some decent boat trips on offer, depending on how much you want to pay. We did one of the main cruises up to Spinalonga island, which is well worth a visit (just be aware that it's not very accessible, especially if you want to climb to the top), and the semi sub boat trip was great fun. If you're looking for a party town then look elsewhere, but if you want to chill out and enjoy some amazing food and drink then Agios is a hidden gem.Guest review byKeithUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Kissamos offered us a wonderful mix of relaxation and local charm. The nightlife was a pleasant surprise, with cozy bars and lively tavernas where we enjoyed delicious food and drinks. Evening walks through the town square and the nearby streets filled with local shops and traditional products were some of the highlights of our stay. However, there didn't seem to be many places to eat [not a problem for us as there was one excellent place, though would be a problem peak season] .
