Split is magical.
Split is magical. From the point at which you arrive (especially if you arrive by bus), it is pure magic. Beautiful and expensive. You may go broke if you are not careful as there are a lot of activities to embark upon. However, if you have the resources, please go for it. I will definitely return to Split soon with my family and or friends.Guest review byAmah-JerryCzech Republic - 10.0
Dubrovnik is simply breathtaking – a city that feels like it...
Dubrovnik is simply breathtaking – a city that feels like it belongs in both history books and fantasy worlds. Walking through the Old Town is like stepping onto a movie set: massive stone walls, marble streets polished by centuries of footsteps, red rooftops glowing under the sun, and the endless sparkle of the Adriatic Sea right beside you. For Game of Thrones fans, it’s pure magic – King’s Landing comes alive with every corner, gate, and tower. You can easily imagine dragons flying above the walls while you wander around Fort Lovrijenac, Pile Gate, or the Jesuit Stairs. Even if you’ve never watched the series, the atmosphere here is absolutely cinematic. The vibe of Dubrovnik is a perfect mix of history, culture, and laid-back coastal charm. By day, you can explore the ancient city walls, take a cable car ride for panoramic views, or swim in the crystal-clear sea right outside the fortresses. By night, the town glows with warm lights, buzzing restaurants, and live music echoing through hidden alleys. And then there’s the food – fresh seafood, black risotto, grilled fish, oysters from nearby Ston, paired with local wines that taste like pure Mediterranean sunshine. Every meal feels like a celebration of the sea and the land. Dubrovnik is not just a city, it’s a feeling: timeless, majestic, yet welcoming and full of life. It’s a place where history meets fantasy, and where every moment feels like a scene you’ll remember forever. Truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world.Guest review byCosminRomania - 8.0
I stayed in Zadar Old Town and enjoyed every minute.
I stayed in Zadar Old Town and enjoyed every minute. Lots of cultural attractions and the possibility for boat trips. Highly important for me as well, that as a lone female non-white traveller I always felt safe and comfortable walking around by myself even in the early hours of the morning.Guest review byKellyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Smaller yet compact old city center where you will find everything you need just in few steps. Big grocery store just next to the bus station, big outdoor market place, fish market, promedande, countless number of restaurants, public transport and several beaches. The only downside is that during the peak season it is really crowded.Guest review byEvaSlovakia - 6.0
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September.
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September. July and August is very hot and a lot off tourists on the beach, and on the streets. A lot of traffic, problem to find parking place. We only walk and stay overnight in Makarska center. Biokovo skywalk is fantasticGuest review bySlobodankaNorway - 6.0

Hvar centre is over priced and if you do not get recommendations where to eat you could end up paying a lot of money for poor quality meals. The island itself is beautiful and worth exploring on your on own. Jelsa would be a much better based than Hvar old town, where a glass of wine is half the price!Guest review byPhilG75United Kingdom - 10.0

Sibenik ending up being one of the surprise highlights of our trip! The Old Town is quaint and beautiful. It did not feel touristy and yet felt welcoming to tourists. There were plenty of restuarants with a variety of choices. We visited the end of June as the annual International Children's festival was winding up and the town was decorated with streamers with hanging flags of children's drawing--so charming! We loved that it was within a reasonable distance to Split and only 15-20 minutes to Krka National Park.Guest review byJenW13United States - 6.0
Vodice is a very crowded place.
Vodice is a very crowded place. The beach is long but not very wide, so there were many people, and sometimes you couldn’t even find a spot to put your towel. The city center is also not as beautiful as other Croatian cities, such as Poreč, Pula, Omiš, or Zadar. It doesn’t offer much to explore, but there are some nice places to see nearby, such as the islands of Prvić and Murter. We also liked the beach in Rovinj, which has many more facilities. On the beach in Vodice, there is also a nightclub that gets really loud, so it’s not the best option for a holiday with small children.Guest review byNatáliaSlovakia - 10.0
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia.
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia. It's smaller than, for example, Makarska, and lacks noisy clubs and loud nightlife, which I consider strong advantages. You can find everything you need: beautiful beaches, bars, snack stands, and upscale restaurants. Renting a sunbed or umbrella is easy, and exciting water sports equipment, such as water jets, is also available. Highly recommended.Guest review byKrzysztofPoland - 10.0

Kaštela is a great & beautiful little town with great little restaurants with reasonable prices, nice architecture, 1500 olive tree, & picturesque beaches. Very close to big cities Split and Trogir as well as to the airport. Idea for the calm family vacationGuest review byViraPoland
