I think split is a very beautiful city!
I think split is a very beautiful city! Walking around split oldtown and along the riva is such a special feeling. I’ve been there in December and over new years and it was a lovely flair and there were lots of music and delicious things to eat and I really enjoyed advent in split. Also the weather in December was perfect. Blue sky,sun and 20 degrees. Then I was back in summer and most bakery turned into ice cream stores and the weather was perfect again and I did some nice boat trips and visited some beautiful places outside split like the eye of Croatia or the KRKA Nationalpark.Guest review byjaninaGermany - 8.0
The old town is an extraordinary place, a must-visit.
The old town is an extraordinary place, a must-visit. You can also take the lift up on the surrounding mountain for an astonishing view. Also of course the beaches of Adriatic sea are marvelous. However the rest of Dubrovnik doesn't offer that much of excitement. So stay somewhere better and do a visit into the town.Guest review byMikaelSweden - 10.0

Enjoyed wandering the streets of Zadar, the restaurants, the swimming by the musical water steps. Had nice Thai food at the entrance to the city and there was a lot to see and do. As with all Croatian sea towns, the narrow streets, tall buildings, churches and towers make Zadar very picturesque for photos. Make sure you bring a towel and swimming gear to take a dip and cool off after exploring the town.Guest review byKevinUnited States - 10.0

Smaller yet compact old city center where you will find everything you need just in few steps. Big grocery store just next to the bus station, big outdoor market place, fish market, promedande, countless number of restaurants, public transport and several beaches. The only downside is that during the peak season it is really crowded.Guest review byEvaSlovakia - 6.0
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September.
Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September. July and August is very hot and a lot off tourists on the beach, and on the streets. A lot of traffic, problem to find parking place. We only walk and stay overnight in Makarska center. Biokovo skywalk is fantasticGuest review bySlobodankaNorway - 10.0
A beautiful harbour to walk around in the old town.
A beautiful harbour to walk around in the old town. Lovely swimming spots from the harbour walls as long as you are a swimmer. Tiny pebbly beaches by the Franciscan Monastry & Bonj Beach if you need to touch the bottom which are both walkable from the old town. The walk up to the Fortica Fortress is well worth it and not that intense if you are used to walking and steps. Overall a lovely vibe to Hvar very relaxed and safe. More expensive than Split and Dubrovnik to eat and drink but not by much.Guest review byAngelaAustralia - 10.0

Sibenik ending up being one of the surprise highlights of our trip! The Old Town is quaint and beautiful. It did not feel touristy and yet felt welcoming to tourists. There were plenty of restuarants with a variety of choices. We visited the end of June as the annual International Children's festival was winding up and the town was decorated with streamers with hanging flags of children's drawing--so charming! We loved that it was within a reasonable distance to Split and only 15-20 minutes to Krka National Park.Guest review byJenW13United States - 10.0
Beauty and village feel.
Beauty and village feel. Marina area has great vibes and family friendly. The food over there was outstanding but you need to be selective on choice of place. The local beer is fantastic. Vodice is close to other smaller coastal town for day trips and uber can be used easy. We hired a car and that was great. Modern accommodation and my 6night stay was too short as Croatia and the area is fantastic. We probably come back another year.Guest review bySunilUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Kastella really is 7 treats in one, each of the Kastells is a gem in its own right. The beaches are clean and well kept, just remember your water shoes as the beaches are pebbly. Lots of bars, cafes and little shops along the coast.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia.
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia. It's smaller than, for example, Makarska, and lacks noisy clubs and loud nightlife, which I consider strong advantages. You can find everything you need: beautiful beaches, bars, snack stands, and upscale restaurants. Renting a sunbed or umbrella is easy, and exciting water sports equipment, such as water jets, is also available. Highly recommended.Guest review byKrzysztofPoland
