DCU accommodation was cheap but clean. Breakfast included.
DCU accommodation was cheap but clean. Breakfast included. Bedroom cleaned daily. Towels provided. Very clean bedding and towels. A little too far out of Dublin City centre especially as public transport was unpredictable. I would recommend this accommodation but be wary of using public transport. Taxi into Dublin is around £20 each way. You can use public transport with the Leap card but make sure you buy this from the main bus office in O’Connell street, otherwise you are charged an extra £5 euros per card in Spar’s and other shops. You can also pay cash on buses but you must have the exact change. It’s around 2,60 euros per person per trip. You can also buy visitor Leap cards for 3 or 7 days. This allows you to access local trams, trains and buses (when they turn up!)Guest review byMillMollUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Beautiful city with tonnes of history and pretty much...
Beautiful city with tonnes of history and pretty much everything is within walking distance if you’re someone who’s older or has limited mobility. Everyone I met in the town were warm and friendly. Kilkenny castle being the obvious standout but the wee design area just across from the castle with all the bespoke shops are run by characters and very talented people! If you’re looking for a more relaxed, go at your own pace with tonnes of history then Kilkenny is perfect for a one to two nights getawayGuest review byDarrenIreland - 10.0

Waterford exceeded our expectations- beautiful historic city, lots to do, both within the city (loved the museums) & also near attractions slightly further outside of the city. Went to a few really delicious restaurants & cafes. We’ll be back again!Guest review byEveIreland - 10.0
Wexford is situated seaside.
Wexford is situated seaside. It has a beautiful port that is several hundred feet wide and lends itself to many kinds of group activities. It's perfect for walking and looking landward to the colorful town built on a hillside. The meandering streets throughout the town are perfect for walking and enjoying the many beautiful buildings. Restaurants and cafes abound along every street.Guest review byThomasUnited States - 8.0

Swords is a bustling town with a reasonable range of shops...
Swords is a bustling town with a reasonable range of shops and heaps of Cafes. Nearby Pavillions shopping complex is a very large mall with everything you need. Swoprds Castle in town is worth a visit but parking is a major problem in the township unless you carry cash. It would be so much easier if cards were accepted. Streets are narrow and can get congested.Guest review byPat TaylorNew Zealand - 8.0
If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not...
If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not for you. Dundalk is a former railway town, largely built round the (now defunct) works for the GNRI and with much 19th century red-brick architecture. It has a busy high street with a lot of small shops, pubs and restaurants, none are grand, it reminds me of similar towns in the UK before planning blight took hold. A lot of effort seems to have gone into smartening the place up in recent years, which is nice. Would that other towns of its scale have survived so well it would be nothing exceptional, but as so few have, it has a real charm. As a base, it is well sited to explore the countryside around, which has a long and interesting history, with a lot of historic sites.Guest review byNicholasUnited Kingdom
