Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Hótel Djúpavík offers accommodations in Djupavik. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Krossneslaug Public Swimming Pool is 23 mi away. Location is amazing. Hard to drive to, but so worth it. This place, and this little village felt like it had a soul. Don't miss the art exhibit in the village... Fresh cod. Friendly staff. I wish we would have spent more than one night there. Staff were able to recommend a short hike that was just amazing. One of the dog of the owner followed us during the hike, which was short but a bit demanding. Get off the beaten path and go there.

Set in Iceland’s Westfjords district, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant and basic rooms with free Wi-Fi access. Brjánslækur ferry terminal is a 5-minute drive away. Loved the location! Clean and simple, fresh and open! Walking trails in the immediate vicinity were great for a non-athlete like me and Hellulaug was a dream come true!
This hotel, opened in June 2013, is located along the coast in Patreksfjordur, a fishing village in Iceland’s Westfjords. It offers an à la carte restaurant with a bar and daily breakfast buffet. Really nice (new) hotel! The room was big and nice equipped! The breakfast was also very delicious with some traditional Icelandic dishes :) And Patreksfjörður is always worth a visit!
Offering natural hot springs, free Wi-Fi and an in-house restaurant, this farmhouse hotel is in Iceland’s wild Westfjords. Best place we stayed in Iceland. Fantastic food at breakfast and dinner, including freshly caught trout, great trail ride by a wonderful guide, comfortable room, and we loved the animals - a parrot, dogs, a visiting arctic fox family, and of course the horses!
In central Isafjördur, on Silfurtorg Square, this hotel offers a restaurant and bar and panoramic views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. Guests can enjoy free in-room Wi-Fi and free parking. Location (center of town, 5min from airport), friendly and accommodating staff, room had all amenities we needed. Shower was a definite plus! Excellent water pressure. View of the water was incredible. Full, delicious breakfast with an assortment of foods, definitely something for any palate. The homemade yogurt (skyr) was awesome.

Located in Vestfirdir, the Western Fjords of Iceland, this family-run hotel is 14 mi from the bird cliffs of Látrabjarg. It offers free Wi-Fi and an on-site restaurant with bar. The room was charming and had a magnificent view. Short drive to see the puffins.
Located in Reykjanes Westfjords, Hotel Reykjanes features an outdoor swimming pool. Pool was fabulous although they just refillednit the night we got there so it was boiling hot.

Ate a wonderful cod dinner in the hotel restaurant. Entertainment is limited but the remoteness of the location is enchanting. It is the furthermost settled and occupied area in Iceland's Westfjords. Good waking, sightseeing and hiking opportunities.
A small, very ordinary Westfjords town, and a great place to stay after visiting the Latrabarg bird cliffs, especially if, like us, you plan to fly out of Bildidalur the next day. For a place to stay going to the Latrabarg bird cliffs, i suggest the Latrabarg Hotel, which is opposite Patrecksfjordur across the fjord.
The great hamlet of the Westfjords is directly connected with nature and a wonderful community. When the occassional cruise ship drops its passangers ashore, I was inspired to tell them they should 'jump ship' and go for a real adventure but I suppose different ways of doing things is what makes the world go round. A wonderful place to explore and to explore from.
Isafjördur is an absolutely awesome place for kayaking (Borea Adventures!), hiking and biking trips, and offers a lot of possibilites to venture into the wild and explore the westfjords. The seafood you get in town is absolutely delicious too, especially in Tjöruhusid. People are very friendly. If you are an outdoor person, I'd recommend staying at least 4-5 days!
I was in Isafjörđur for 3 weeks taking a fantastic course in the Icelandic language at the University Center of the Westfjords. I did very low key activities ouside school. Hang out at the pool/ sauna. Walk around town. Take photos of this very photogenic town... saga recital in neighboring town, bird cliffs at Lautraburg...
Isafjordur is an attractive town with old houses, good services (including grocery stores and bakeries), a really good museum, and good restaurants. It is a good base for exploring this part of the Westfjords. I wish I had planned a longer stay.
The main town in the Westfjords region, Isafjordur has some good bars and restaurants. It is surprisingly cosmopolitan given the remote region, and the setting is spectacular, with preserved old fishing buildings next to the working harbour and framed by towering green mountains. Plenty of tours run into the mountains and by boat from here so it is a good base, and if you are passing through it is a good place to stock up on home comforts.
Dragsnes is a nice little town on the edge of the Westfjords. It is very peaceful and in a very scenic location. The best feature of the town are the seaside Hot Pots. There are 3 free 24/7 natural hot tubs right at the ocean with a great view. It's not to be missed!
Small island in westfjords. Sheep are everywhere. It's very quiet and small so one night there is enough, but it's very restful
Best spot to stay if you plan on visiting the Westfjords to see the puffins at Latrabjarg.

The owner was very friendly and extremely helpful. He helped us get information about booking the car ferry from the Westfjords to the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The location was remote but beautiful with ocean views on one side and a mountain with a waterfall on the other. The house was on a sheep farm and the sheep came right up to the house and it was fun to watch them from the living room window. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. The owner gave us instructions for how to hike up to the base of the waterfall.

I usually like to stay in farmhouses or guesthouses when in Iceland, so I wasn't sure what to expect from a more traditional hotel like Fosshotel Westfjords. It was beautiful! The modern vibe was pleasing and not overdone. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, moreso than some of the other places that we stayed on our trip. We really appreciated the hospitality at the front desk, and in the restaurant. The food was very good. I was a little concerned that our room was right on the road but it was very quiet.

What a heavenly little hotel in the far reaches of the Westfjords. The staff is unbelievable and the property has incredible charm. It is incredibly cozy and warm, not to mention rustic and beautiful. We took part in the tour and it was fantastic. We can't wait to return. We had the new room in the little cottage and it was PERFECT. Private, easy to a access, and with a beautiful view. We were lucky enough to watch a research vessel putter by and to see the fog lift off the fjords. We will be coming back!

A beautiful, comfortable property right at the base of the Westfjords - exactly what we needed. Great customer service, a well appointed and clean room with private bath, and comfortable common area. The breakfast was self serve which was great for us early risers- we didn't have to wait for breakfast to be served. Dinner at the restaurant was amazing - must try the homemade ice cream. The host gave recommendations of a local hot pot which was just what we needed at the end of the day.

The apartment has a perfect location, very near to the ferry in the Westfjords. It is located at the sea, behind the house there is a wide valley that has many waterfalls running down from both sides (don't forget to check them out- a small track and later on you can find a footpath). Our host informed us that the keys were outside, so we collected them at the door. The kitchen is well-equipped and the whole house is very clean and nice.

Tálknafjörður is a small village with two very good reasons to visit on a road trip in the Westfjords: The Pollurinn hot pools, and this guesthouse. It is centrally located, has clean and good-sized rooms, friendly hosts, excellent breakfast with homemade bread and jam, and laundry facilities, which aren't easy to find in Iceland. It is right up at the top of all the places we stayed on our trip. Highly recommended.

Great hostel in a beautiful area. Located near some picturesque walking trails. The owner, Pall, made the stay even better. He helped me pick some good places to check out in the westfjords and helped me plan my route. He also was nice enough to share the history of the house and his family. It really makes the stay more authentic. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I hope to be back!

This place is in the middle of nowhere, which is probably what you are looking for if you are visiting the Westfjords. It was very clean. The kitchen had everything needed. There are two bedrooms and a loft. We had one of the rooms with a futon and twin. The furniture was older and not overly comfortable, but it wasn't bad. Seems like it would be a neat spot for a big family or group.

The location was perfect for our Westfjords trip--across the road from a hot pot, reasonable drive to Latrabarg cliffs and Dynjandi falls, and 5 minutes from the ferry. The hotel even provided towels and robes for the hot pot. The staff was very accommodating during our 2-nights stay and the food was very good.

Good spot to stay in the Westfjords. The staff was nice and let us use the kitchen to make some dinner. Breakfast was included and very good. We had a great stay overall and saw a humpback in one of the fjords on our way there. Beautiful place to visit, we had a great time.

We loved this guesthouse. It was bright and very tastefully decorated and was a great stop in our whirlwind tour of the Westfjords. We got to spend some time chatting with the owner/operator and had such a pleasant time.

The hostess, Kristin, was great. She gave us a bunch of information about the town and made sure our stay was perfect. The rooms are nice and the location is great for exploring the Westfjords.

The apartment was so clean, central to the town and our host Robert was very helpful. We would highly recommend staying at Gentle Space Apartments if you are travelling to the Westfjords.

The location is great for exploring the Westfjords. Some rooms have a view of the bay, which is nice, and overall the hotel is quiet. The staff is friendly.

The view was amazing...pretty much right on the southern shore of one of the Westfjords. It was a peaceful, quiet little guesthouse on a farm. Very nice.

Great view of fjord, full breakfast and friendly staff. Place was busy but for a reason as it is a well-run facility in the middle of the Westfjords.

Nice location in Flateyri right on the main street coming into town. This was the least expensive place we stayed in Iceland but one of our favorites. Bathrooms are shared but there are two and only four units so doesn't get as backed up as some hostels. Great living, dining, and kitchen facilities, clean and roomy. Really enjoyed our time here.
