Located in the Westfjords, this hotel is set in the town center of Patreksfjord. Free WiFi access is available, along with a terrace and shared lounge with impressive scenic views. Breakfast very good and staff very friendly and nice, and the view from our room was great:)
This hotel, opened in June 2013, is located along the coast in Patreksfjordur, a fishing village in Iceland’s Westfjords. It offers an à la carte restaurant with a bar and daily breakfast buffet. Awesome service, super friendly staff and the food is out of this world. Highly recommend
Located in the fishing village of Patreksfjördur with panoramic views of the fjord, this guest house has free WiFi and a guest kitchen. Booked at Stekkaból 30 mins before I came there and it was no problem at all. We called the owner and she came after 5 mins! It was a nice and cozy stay. Highly recommened!
Located in Patreksfjörður in the Westfjords region, Sigtún 4 has a patio and garden views. Featuring sea and city views, this apartment also provides guests with free WiFi. Everything was superb! The owner let us check in a bit earlier which was nice. Would definitely recommend :)
Located in Patreksfjörður in the Westfjords region, Stekkar 23 features a terrace and garden views. This apartment provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Very friendly and welcoming owner who lives above the apartment. She even put some toys out for our 15-month-old to play with. The apartment is great and the bedrooms are very spacious. We had everything we needed, including a high chair and washing machine, and felt very comfortable there. It was a good base for us to explore the south-west part of the Westfjörds.
Located in Vestfirdir, the Western Fjords of Iceland, this family-run hotel is 14 mi from the bird cliffs of Látrabjarg. It offers free Wi-Fi and an on-site restaurant with bar. Closest to the cliffs, great location. Perfectly clean, modern room. Such a cute property! The dog was a bonus (of course) and she was super sweet. Dinner and breakfast were great! They have a full bar
Quietly set in the Westfjords of Iceland, these cottages are located along the Patreksfjördur Fjord. Each offers cottages with cooking facilities and views of the scenic sea and mountain countryside. It's unique, the only small house on the shore near the sea, with magnificent vew.
Set in the quiet countryside of the Icelandic West Fjords, this guest house offers rooms with sea views and breakfast, as well as hostel-style self-catering rooms. The staff was professional and friendly, despite mainly consisting from one person! Very quite and relaxing place, and the restaurant was amazing. Very tasty! Also the towels were not supposed to be included but they were
This family-owned B&B is located in Bíldudalur village in Iceland’s West Fjords region. It offers brightly decorated rooms with free WiFi access and mountain or fjord views. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom surprised us with it's big size. The view from the window was also great. We enjoyed having Netflix in our room. We arrived quite late because of the weather and we were very hungry but the owner provided us with late dinner and the next morning she didn't charge us saying it's on the house. The guesthouse is very welcoming and clean. I definitely recommend and would sleep there again.
Small fishing village overlooking a beautiful fjord. Great place to pull in for a night after a day of exploring Westfjords. Restaurant close to Hotel West is exceptional - can't beat seafood caught on that day.
We did a short stop here just so we could go see the puffins at Latrabjarg. This was at the start of our trip and we realised that you'll be able to see many places around the island so a detour to Patreskfjordur is only worth it if you have time. It's a very small fishing village and it's located in a very scenic area.
It was a long drive through the mountains, and an even more treacherous return through the snow the next day. There was little to see or do in the town. May be different in the summer, but I don't see how.
Loved the public swimming pool. It's high enough above the fjord to offer spectacular views as you soak and swim. Looked like a fairly new facility with workout machines, yoga rooms, big gym, etc. Imagine it is the hub of lots of school activities, too.
The journey to this part of the west fjords is long and if you want to visit the bird cliffs an additional day could allow more time to see the area with less time in the car. Patreksfjordur doesn't have an lot to offer in terms of restaurants and shops; nature is what is really on offer here.
STUNNING!!! It's unfortunate that many travelers do not venture off the main highway in Iceland to go visit the fjords. Westfjords are the most breathtaking part of Iceland. I wish we had allocated more time for towns like this on our trip! The locals are friendly and it's so peaceful out there.
Breakfast very good and staff very friendly and nice, and the view from our room was great:)
Awesome service, super friendly staff and the food is out of this world. Highly recommend
