This historical buidlngs and history or Rome will just blow...
This historical buidlngs and history or Rome will just blow you away. From the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, St Peter's Basilica, Sistene Chapel and Vatican Museum. We did them all and they didn't dissapoint. What you will find is the usual vendors trying to sell tourists water/tickets and also entice you into what can be expensive restaurants, especially in the centre of Rome. However, presume that comes with most capital cities these days during holiday season. 6 euros for 200ml of beer and 10 euros for a small tub of gelato are not uncommon... shop around! That said, an amazing place and if you look you can find little gems... like Le Saline Shop which was near the Colloseum... 3 euros for a beer! Rome is fab, the weather is hot but crowded during main holiday season. Definitely worth a visit.Guest review byPaul HolgreavesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A lovely seaside town. Close to the airport. So many dining options within walking distance to our apartment. We had a delicious meal at Neri on the beach and watched the sunset over the sea. Just beautiful.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
Great location for a pre cruise stay.
Great location for a pre cruise stay. You have to be in shape for the stairs! The setup to get in was horrendous. Room was big, bed comfortable (queen), bathroom good. It's a 4 bedroom apartment with a communal kitchen/ eating area.Guest review byDonnaCanada - 10.0

A bit of a military town (nato and US frigates, etc) but I think Gaeta has something for everyone. Great community, historical sights, and an amazing park with ruins and tunnels. It did cost me 25€ to get to my hotel from the train station, but I was told by locals this was a fair price,Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Beyond gorgeous. It’s a dream vacation spot and easily travelled by electric bike to all the beaches. Mostly Italian tourists which made it seem much more chilled out than other beach spots in Italy. Highly recommendGuest review byKristinaUnited States - 10.0

Ostia is a beautiful city next to the Airport and just a short ride from Rome. I truly love it there, in the last year I visited 3 times and I cant wait to come back. You can visit Ostia antica or Rome or just chill on a beach and swim in the sea with sand beaches.Guest review byMU-CHACzech Republic - 10.0
A lovely mostly little undiscovered medieval town.
A lovely mostly little undiscovered medieval town. It’s only small but very cute with lots of restaurants and an attractive cathedral and papal palace. Easily walkable and not very far from Rome. Mostly quiet except on weekendsGuest review bycatherineAustralia - 10.0
We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June.
We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June. We experienced a local feel with few tourists. the old town is fantastic. We rented electric bikes, which is recommended. Then you can get around easily. A trip up to the temple went like a dream in the heat. We also cycled out to the Cantina Sant'Andrea winery. It took approx. one hour one way. A wonderful trip and a great visit where we tasted many good wines. One should also enter a trip to Ponza. The ferry departs from the city centre. An incredibly cozy island. We chose to rent a boat when we were out there, so that we could take a trip to the outside of the island and swim in the crystal clear water. It was magical! We only took a day trip, but we should have included an overnight stay at Ponza.Guest review byKnut IvarNorway - 10.0
Sperlonga is a beautiful town.
Sperlonga is a beautiful town. The only thing really the town suffered from was lack of large food store. There were some small stored but no parking so if you are located away from them, you had a very challenging walk back to apartment.Guest review byBASIreland - 10.0

Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace of Versailles. The walk through Villa Gregoriana gardens down the side of the hill to the bottom of the waterfalls was a solid hike and not for the feeble. Definitely take a couple of hours to visit Hadrian’s Villa (aka Villa Adriana) which had amazing historical half crumbling palace and ornamental lake.Guest review bySharee F.Australia
