- From $152.98 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 6,935 reviewsArrived after very long trip from Europe, tired. Beautiful room. Good to rest. Comfortable beds & pillows. Nice bathroom. I always ask for higher floor & my room was beautiful with a sea & park view. Perfect for me & my first visit to Kobe. The staff everywhere were so nice & helpful. Appreciated the hotel shuttle bus from Sannomiya Station: when I first arrived from the airport ITM with an Airport Limousine Bus & again during my stay in Kobe. Breakfast buffet is splendid & also can get a good espresso coffee. I like Japanese Breakfast! Had one dinner at the Chinese Restaurant: very good. Beautifully presented. Lot of food. I arrived hungry & left very full! I inquired about the swimming pool, but ultimately did not have time to use it this visit. Hopefully next time. - From $194.46 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 484 reviewsI loved this hotel. I was curious about the German name, but I think it’s a vestige of a time when Kobe had a lot of European traders living there. The furnishings are all very old-Europe. My room had an upholstered chair with an ottoman as well as a desk with cabriole legs. The bathroom, however, was very sleek and modern, and a good bit bigger than most Japanese hotel bathrooms. The breakfast choices are amazing. Someone will even make you an omelet. Best croissant outside of France. It’s an easy walk from the old train station, and near many very good restaurants.Guest review byLindaUnited States
- From $344.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 122 reviewsWe got a good deal while coming off season and wanted to experience an onsen resort while visiting Japan. The meals were very good traditional Japanese food. The onsens were very nice and not busy, and the rooms were traditional and spacious. The town this hotel is in doesn’t have a lot going on so expect to spend your time in the room/onsen. We did walk down the road to a shrine on the beach, then walked back to the hotel along the beach, hoping to catch the sunset. Unfortunately, it was a hazy day and we didn't get a great sunset, but it was a very nice walk back!Guest review byEliseUnited States
- From $137.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 1,004 reviewsThe hotel is about 5 minutes away from the station so getting there was a breeze. Check-in and check-out were painlessly simple. The staff were so extremely friendly, even though I spoke almost 0 Japanese. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked and satisfying. I've read complaints about the room size and honestly as a solo traveller of 180cm, it was not an issue. The room was super comfortable and the washroom was adequate. Honestly the perfect place if you're planning to stay in and explore Kobe.Guest review byNicholas MohammedTrinidad and Tobago

Kobe is a great city to visit. A vibrant, buzzing and cosmopolitan city with memorable features such as the ropeway to the herb garden at the JR Shin Kobe Station at Sannomiya (an absolute must for visitors), the Maya cable car and ropeway and the Akashi bridge to Awaji Island.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 6.0

Himeji is obviously very famous for its castle, but other than that lacks many things to do. I found my time there to be rather boring, and we often struggled to find activities to fill our nights with. We used Himeji as a central location to take day trips from - since we booked during Golden Week, hotel prices in more ideal areas, such as Kobe, were heavily inflated and unreasonable.Guest review byJacob - 8.0

I visited the theme park Nijigen No Morii with Naruto and Dragonquest Island and both was amazing. Ill definitely come Back to the Park. It's a bit tricky to get around with the local (limited) buses as there run only about once every hour so a rental car ist the better option. From Iwaya Port theres a Shuttle bus to Nijigen No Morii and the hello Kitty sites, it's free and stops on a couple of sites along the route. The Shuttle operates from 10am to 9pm.Guest review byNicoleGermany - 10.0
We enjoyed the small town.
We enjoyed the small town. It was quaint and quiet, but still had plenty to do. We visited many shops and restaurants at Kinosaki Onsen as well as visited a few of the onsen. I don't know where Toyooka stops and Kinosaki starts, so I am combining them as the say destination. We had a wonderful time!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Amagasaki is a great 'real' town so close to Osaka, but with its own character. We saw a diverse mix of people from all walks of life. Working class, business people, skateboarders, old people playing ukelele in the park. There is a nice old shopping street which is not to be missed. Some good old 'Showa' era coffee shops. We didn't get to do half the things we planned. Will be back!Guest review byPatrickSouth Korea - 4.0
It is sad to see dying city, even small one.
It is sad to see dying city, even small one. Nothing to do there, difficult to find a nice place to eat even food prices are high. Ohama beach is nice, however there are some creatures in the sea which sting you. Overrated place to visit.Guest review byIrinaJapan - 8.0

Nishinomiya offers a good location outside of downtown Osaka, and access to all locations by either taxi or using the train system, Good family restaurants, selections of type of food, and next to a great shopping center and the Koshien stadium,Guest review byKimura - 4.0
Kobe is known for Kobe Beef.
Kobe is known for Kobe Beef. Unfortunately this highly priced wagyu is exported to 5 star hotels, top restaurants in Kyoto and Tokyo, or overseas. Sad that many of the wagyu restaurants are not serving the famed high-end Kobe wagyu. It is busy metropolis, but less crowded than nearby Osaka. As the city is built on hills and mountains, the local hiking culture and sudden panoramic views are both delights. There is not much in terms of local culture or cuisine, besides some western influence as shown in the architecture of few buildings and an abundance of pâtissiers.Guest review byJoshua HughSingapore - 8.0
The Himeji locals are friendly.
The Himeji locals are friendly. I also like the town as it has a little of an un-hurried atmosphere. Finding things to do and places to see it facilitated by a Tourist Information centre, where I have been most surprised by the things on offer throughout the year. (I wish I was there now for the Himeji Yukata festival) If you haven't already, please visit Himeji Castle and take a guided tour. The guides in my experience are full of information about e castle, its history and the history of its occupants. If nature is your thing, by all means possible visit Shosha-zan!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Dinning options were limited especially if you have food allergies however the hotel did accommodate. Not many restaurant options in town as many close during the week. Very cute town and loved wearing the Yakuta around town. Sadly I didn’t try the public Onsens but the hotel had a private Onsen which was very nice to rent.Guest review bymitchCanada
