I absolutely loved staying here! I was treated so well by the staff and owner from the moment I arrived. The entire property and room were incredibly gorgeous. You can tell they put in a ton of time, thoughtfulness, and effort to make this a wonderful place to stay. The bed felt like heaven, the breakfast was good, and they helped to arrange airport transportation. I wish I could have stayed another night, definitely recommend!

Everything is so perfectly thought out, the location, design, menu, music, overall vibe. Of course the staff were incredible, so welcoming and attentive.     My partner and I stayed for 6 nights and it couldn’t have been any better. The service was exceptional - Dulara, our personal assistant was there at any moment for any request but what made him so good was his ability to work around our days and initiative to understand what we wanted before we even asked. Hope his management understands how good he is as an employee and highly recommend any guest to ask for him when staying there in the future. The rooms were spacious and so close to the beach with amazing views of the coastline. The infinity pool was exceptional positioned right on the cliff overlooking the ocean. The main thing I can’t get over was the food, it was incredible. Every dish, breakfast or dinner was next level, extremely fresh and amazingly tasteful. I can’t wait to come back - Sri Lanka is amazing but this place is special

    The Insight resort was a great location to spend 5 days in Ahangama, the location is great with the hotel actially being beach front with a nice beach, great pool. The staff were very friendly and soo helpful, they looked after our little toddler like he was their own, giving him such a great time, and us a bit of a break. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Wifi was a bit poor, but an easy fix if they get a fiber connection.

    We had booked the hotel as soon as we saw the display picture of the hotel as we were blown away. The hotel didn’t let us down from its visuals. It was a lovely stay with various facilities. Loved the dinner and breakfast buffet. The food waa very good. The staff were very fast to their service despite the business. Loved the pool and the dedication of the pool staff to keep it clean and well mainted.

    The Hotel is well designed with open spaces overlooking the ocean. The rooms were very comfortable and met all our needs. We had all our meals at the hotel and the food was delicious with a large range to select from.     All sea view rooms and the room we stayed in was very spacious . A few minutes walk to jungle beach. The staff was friendly and even made arrangements to get our meals sorted. There is a kitchen and if we bring the raw materials we can even cook on our own , just need to pay them for the space we use. Over all I enjoyed unwatuna because it was conveniently located too.

    We did not venture into Bentota. We are expats living in Colombo so no need to explore the city. The hotel was at the right spot for a 100% relaxing weekend away with no distractions. The ocean is not that swimmable as the sea was very rough and looked dangerous. The pool was a welcome alternative. We drove to Galle for the Saturday to watch the game between Springboks and Kiwis. That was not too far, one hour away and a very scenic route. The hotel was also fully booked so must be popular.

    We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

I like the place & the area.i had great time durig the vacation.I guess that threre is 1km around to the beach & also there is a logoon.i have experience the boat safari at the lake. I wish if i could stay few more days to enjoy.

    Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

    A little town which is friendly colourful with plenty of shops for anything you need …only issue is that like every town in Sri Lanka there is a problem with waste ( plastic bottles) There are several resteraunts and lots of lovely cake shops :-) Everything is very cheap ..food , tuk tuk , train ..and clothes are an outstanding bargain to any visitor Overall a lovely place for great holiday

    Koggalla is small ,but has the same nice beaches and restaurants as the other towns on the coast.Yes a bit more basic,but also less crowded . We found the locals very friendly and niceThe stilt fishing demonstration is a cool thing to see and just be aware that you pay for pictures or videos.Nothing much and we had a fun time with all 5 guys showing us the ropes.If you respect them they will show you kindness and will be very friendly.We even delivered some chocolate for their kids later ,because we were staying so close to their beach.And that really made their day.     My favourite place was the turtle hatchery.

    My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.
