Nice and clean room, food OK, sunbeds and umbrellas are delivered to the beach for the guests, reliable transport from the airport. Professional staff, excellent service, great amenities ! The best place to stay on local Maldives islands. It’s obvious the hotel owners invested wholeheartedly - they organized transfer pickup to and from Male in a quality smooth speedboat (which made a huge difference compared to other local speedboats). Hotel restaurant was best value and quality food compared to other restaurants in the island. We ordered food multiple times directly to our room. Staff were really friendly and attentive - many thanks to onu and zhidan.

The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing - right on a fabulous beach. The building is new, very nice designed and everything is in perfect conditions. At the 8th floor there is a pool which provides a perfect view of Paradise and also a bar. Second bar is located on the beach and they both serve most delicious drinks! Hotel’s restaurant Aanu is 2 steps away from the hotel. Apart from the location, the conditions - what makes your stay memorable is the staff which is absolutely fantastic - from reception to bars, restaurant, breakfast, team responsible of excursions - everybody is very friendly and super nice! Thank you all for making our stay perfect!

Quiet and peaceful. The place has stunning view, and the beach is swimmable and clean. It has limited rooms, thus no crowd at all compared to other hotel in the island. Other hotels are noisy and crowded. The Sunset Villa is a jackpot to us. Worth the money. Though the place is small it has everything we need. They also give unlimited water for drink.

When inclement weather prevented us from visiting the nearby islands on our scheduled day, the staff went above and beyond to make alternative arrangements. They quickly secured a hotel just a short five-minute drive from the airport and promptly rescheduled our flights when we expressed concerns about the revised departure time. . Their thoughtfulness and efficiency in handling the situation were truly commendable. The way the staff empathized with our disappointment at losing a day on the island soothes our disappointed hearts! They wasted no time in offering us an upgrade and special perks to compensate for the unforeseen circumstances. Their genuine concern and effort to make things right instantly turned our disappointment into excitement. Once we arrived on the island, we were greeted by a team of enthusiastic staff members who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their beaming smiles and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to our vacation. It was evident that they genuinely cared about ensuring we had a memorable and enjoyable time. Throughout our stay, our assigned gem, Hamzath, proved to be a true gem indeed. He took great care of us, ensuring our every need was met.     visiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … ​​our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us.     Beautiful resort on paradise island (literally!). We stayed in a water villa and it was absolutely incredible. Everywhere you look is pure paradise. The facilities are amazing, the food is delicious, and the staff are incredible! Aman, Dewli, and Naleen at the Lagoon restaurant were amazing and ensured we were well looked after each mealtime. Ajlan was our wonderful host and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay.The staff at the Italian restaurant were also lovely and always had the biggest smile on their faces! This was my second time at the resort and it was just as good as the first time (maybe even better!). I hope to return again soon!

    One day is plenty. You can walk to the main square and all the main sights in one day. Entry to mosques is limited to certain times of the day (1-2) hour window so plan accordingly. Food/drink is fairly pricey and allow for 10% service charge and 17% Tax on published prices. Most places price in USD but will convert to local currency (at the prevailing exchange rate).

    Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.

    Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

    We LOVED Dhiffushi!

    We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

    We liked almost everything.

    We liked almost everything. Our vacation was relaxing and beautiful. The beach was perfect, with soft almost white sand and warm, clear blue water. The bungalow was was really cozy with sun set view. Snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles, so many amazing small fishes. And they were almost near our place. We had wonderful neighbors and made new friendships.

    Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach,...

    Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine...

    The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.

    An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.
