The hotel was in a great location so we could walk everywhere in the Old City. The Sunday Walking Market goes along our street so it’s super busy on Sunday night. The staff was exceptional; always welcoming and happy to ask about our day or offer suggestions of where to go. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean with water and coke replenished in the fridge everyday if needed. Having fresh fruit, coffee and water available all day was great. We enjoyed the pool to cool off after a day out. Can’t say enough good things about Kiki, Tan, Pop, Pim, Dan and Momo at the front desk, they really enjoy their job; and the housekeeping staff were also great!

The room was spacious with lots of storage, excellent for longer stays. The bathroom was amazing, full sized tub and rainfall shower head. Breakfast was delicious (I got the authentic thai breakfast, a little spicy though.) Staff was really nice and helpful.

    This place is absolutely gorgeous. It went through a rough time during the floods of oct2024. It was hit pretty badly, so they are still working on cleaning and repairing, but they are doing such a great job and it doesn’t impede the enjoyment of the place at all. It even made our stay even more special because we were only a few guests. Take full advantage before it’s bursting with guests again. Chai, the MaitréD, is exceptional and really made our stay!     Such a beautiful northern city within easy reach of the mountains, full of history, art and heritage. Fabulous places to eat and drink on every street. Brilliant markets with endless food options and great live music. Plenty of places to get a Thai massage, very reasonably priced. It's easy to fly to Chiang Mai, but why not take the train as we did! - a stunning scenic journey from Bangkok (10 hours but it went by quickly!) ... Chiang Mai is also a safe city with a very low crime rate. We felt safe walking the streets, whatever time of day or night. While you're there I especially recommend taking a cookery course - great fun and naturally delicious!

    I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!

    Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.

    Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)

    The kindness and helpfulness of our hosts made for an excellent stay. The free bikes loan gave us independence. The Fang Hot Springs a couple of kilometres away was fun and convenient. The surrounding scenery of onion fields was very pleasant. We saw many interesting birds including the siting of an Asian Barred Owlet at our breakfast location which completed the enjoyment of our stay.

    The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.

    Had an amazing week, everyone is so friendly and helpful. There is so much to do - elephant sanctuary, cooking lessons and we had a fabulous guide who took us everywhere including Chiang Rae, the White temple is breath taking and the Blue temple are absolutely beautiful. Food is amazing and everything is so reasonable.

    Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.
