Los Angeles is very large.
Los Angeles is very large. Most of it is very run down due to poor infrastructure investment. There are some great places to visit (e.g. Santa Monica, Griffith Observatory, WB Studios) If you don't want to spend most of your holiday in a car the Metro is cheap and convenient, as long as it goes to near where you want to visit. Homelessness is apparent in many areas. A large part of Downtown is a no go area. A week in LA is more than enough.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

San Francisco is a city that captivates from the moment you arrive, with its stunning views, iconic landmarks, and rich cultural diversity. Whether you’re walking across the Golden Gate Bridge, exploring the historic streets of Chinatown, or watching the fog roll in over the bay, the city offers a unique blend of natural beauty and urban charm. Each neighborhood has its own personality—from the bohemian energy of Haight-Ashbury to the upscale elegance of Pacific Heights—making every stroll an adventure. The food scene is phenomenal, offering everything from fresh seafood at Fisherman’s Wharf to innovative cuisine in the Mission District. Beyond the sights and flavors, what truly stands out is the city’s spirit: inclusive, creative, and always welcoming. San Francisco isn’t just a place to visit—it’s a place to experience, reflect, and fall in love with.Guest review byMariselaUnited States - 10.0
We loved our time in San Diego.
We loved our time in San Diego. We visited several beaches and each was unique and fun. We also especially enjoyed the San Diego Zoo, which we would recommend to anyone. The food scene is also great and great food is available at any price point.Guest review byEliseUnited States - 10.0

All ranges of accommodation from 5-star to hostels and are central to both the Convention Center and Disneyland. A 5-10 minute walk to get to a restaurant, bus, or convenience store. Temperate year round. Layer clothing from mid October to mid March. Easy, quick access to all the beaches and the mountains; Hollywood, Palm Springs; and every micro climate and cultures that richly define southern California!Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10.0

Great location, lots to visit, has something for everyone. From Dennis the Menace playground fro kids to kayaking for the outdoorsy types to galleries and historical strolls for the culture-hungry. Don't forget to visit Carmel via 17 mile drive. Make a day of it!Guest review byLauraUnited States - 10.0

Great place to visit. Lots to see and do within walking distance, plenty of bike rentals for further trips, entertainment for all ages. The Marine Center and MOXI were fun for kids and adults alike. McConnells Ice Cream is a great treat.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

South Lake Tahoe is a happening place with a LOT of people roaming a small area. If you like gambling, clubbing, walking the strip, going to beaches w/ lots of people, etc...you will love this place. If you're looking for somewhere a bit more remote and peaceful, get further around the lake away from South Lake.Guest review byBradUnited States - 10.0

When I was young I lived in San Jose and our mom would bring us to Santa Cruz all summer long. Coming again as an adult brought back so many fond memories. The boardwalk was so different then then. Santa Cruz is such a fun place and so many rides and shops. Every child needs to experience it at least once in their lifetime.Guest review byWanda PapineauUnited States - 8.0
Sacramento in August is HOT!
Sacramento in August is HOT! 100 degree -Hard to enjoy walking around in the day. Night got cooler to walk around. In Old Town area, I would recommend with a group. The night scene is a little more rowdy. Many people were e-scooting around. Younger crowd. Walked early morning, which was cooler and less congested. Crocker Art museum, Leland Stanford Mansion both were not open since it was around 8am. Had visited last year so didn't walk the Capital area, stayed closer to the Sac River and Old Town. Enjoyed watching a ballgame with the River Cats at Sutter Health stadium, even had fireworks that night and was a special Harry Potter theme.Guest review byKarenUnited States - 6.0

I liked the area of the property as its right next to the on and off ramp for the Hwy. Its right next to the Denny's, well as a Walmart super center! Theres also Wendys, and Starbucks across the street! Its far enough from the inner city were there tends to be a lot of riff raff as well low scale crime, as well as drugs. I felt at peace, and you can tell that the management puts a lot towards 2training her staff! Real good hard-working staff as well as very courteous and attentive to the guests needs! I figured that there would be a lot of noise and everything else that's associated with hotels that are more cost effective.Guest review byRufusUnited States
