Welcomed right as soon as we came in the door staff was so nice our whole stay, the bedrooms and bathrooms very clean! love that they have the shampoo, conditioner, body wash,lotion, and hand wash in the big dispensers! Also have bigger towels then most hotels and they keep multiple in the bathroom so you don’t have keep asking for me!! Me and husband absolutely LOVED their continental breakfast! It was the best we’ve ever had for a breakfast included in our stay! the Egg Frijitas was so good and the giant waffles! Thanks so much for such a great stay, will be staying again when we are in the area!

    The unit was clean & spacious. The hosts were exceptional in making us feel comfortable. We had a balcony which looked out over the park & the marina. The location was right in the center of everything, including restaurants. They rent golf carts too & guests get a discount. We got the impression that it is under new management. When I called with questions or went to the desk, staff were always pleasant & helpful. The hotel is located next to a restaurant/bar but there are quiet hours. The rooms are private entrance & the upper floor requires a key card. Despite just opening for the season, our room was ready. -We actually forgot check-in time but our room happened to be ready early.

    I loved the units accomodations, the staff and the location. Beds are comfortable and plentiful, linens are soft with the added bonus of a washer and dryer if you like to know they are clean. The view from all of the balconies is relaxing however you are in a multi unit facility on south bass Island so you neighbors may be a be spirited 😉.

    We are looking forward to returning to Sandusky next year. It was a great experience at Cedar point. The drive was manageable, the stores and restaurants were stopped at were nice. We are looking forward to making more memories next time.

    Port Clinton is the kind of Lake Town you are hoping for...

    Port Clinton is the kind of Lake Town you are hoping for with a young family. The atmosphere was relaxed, and people were friendly. There is a great playground for the kids near City Beach and plenty of restaurants to choose from. City layout isn't very complicated and most if not everything to do in the town is always just 5-10 minutes from everything else. Lake Erie is a great body of water and pretty clean to boot. We went the weekend before Labor Day and there were a couple of nights where live music was being played during a pub-crawl sort of deal. Things weren't too rowdy, and we never felt unsafe walking about.

    The ferry over was convenient and then once on the island there were several golf cart rental businesses within walking distance. Of course there were plenty of bars and restaurants and night life. Also, there were other things to do like visit the Perry monument, they had the Monarch festival, a winery to taste wine and relax. We also toured the island on a golf cart. There were other things to also do, but we were only there two days.

    Huron is a very nice, clean community with a multitude of options to spend time along their sandy beaches. Would go back without hesitation, which I probably will as my wife says its her new best place to visit. Lodging is very accommodating and affordable.

    Enjoyed staying directly on Lake Michigan in a small community (Ernie is in a nursing home according to the ladies at the coffee shop, sorry I was eavesdropping). The tour of the lighthouse was interesting as well as the beautiful location away for the normal tourist traps.

    My family has vacationed at Kelleys for 40 years.

    My family has vacationed at Kelleys for 40 years. It is family friendly with lots to do. I have never experienced any trouble on the Island. It's not cheap to rent a house there, plus you have the cost of the ferry, and you will want a golf cart. However, you could have a lower-cost vacation there if you park at the ferry and take bikes and backpacks over. You could also stay at the campground, which is fun and there is a beach right there.

    I was there far too briefly to be able to say anything useful. I arrived about 9:00 p.m. and left the next morning at 7 a.m. I didn't see much of the town, except in the dark. I was happy that the grocery store was open late, because I had not eaten when I arrived.

    We like the Port Clinton area, close to Island hopping, restaurants and beaches. Sad to see the decline in the downtown stores, some only open Thursday-Saturday, did not get to shop. Hope the hotel revives the bar and restaurant.

    Nice and relaxing vacation spot. Rather expensive, but you have to expect that -- especially on an island where nearly everything is shipped in. There's much more to see and do than visit bars if you take the time to investigate. Goat Soup and Whisky is an excellent restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The swim-up-to bars are always refreshing on a hot day.

    The price and living area of room was ok. The tub was dirty and I had no soap. Had to ask for some at desk. Not enough towels in room either. BUt the value was ok. Needs some improvements to give a higher rate.
