It was breathtakingly beautiful.
It was breathtakingly beautiful. Great restaurants & we loved being so close to the water & all the activities. We loved the featherbed boat trip We ate at Drydock & 34 degrees within walking distance from our accommodation. We went walking in the forest about 6 kms away. Knysna has everything. Spectacular views, beautiful beaches. Great restaurants and lovely forest trails.Guest review byPamSouth Africa - 10.0

Great place for a week end especially in summer.
Great place for a week end especially in summer. Adequate shops, coffee shops etc. Nice fish n chips, restaurants and lots of lovely places nearby like Wilderness Knysna etc. Lovely drives up the hills. Views beautiful, riding bikes fine. Walks to Gerickes point.Guest review byMalcolmSouth Africa - 10.0
A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants.
A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants. The Grootrivier and (Western Cape part of) the Bloukrans River passes are exceptional, as is Nature's Valley. The Birds of Eden is THE world leading bird conservancy -- the biggest anywhere with free flying birds in a magnificent forest with a beautiful kloof, waterfall ,,, The nearby Monkeyland and Jukani conservancies are also probably the best in Africa. Thyme & Again restaurant is also a favourite.Guest review byBernhardSouth Africa - 8.0

Many establishments in the surrounding area do not allow dogs. So you can't eat in many places as no arrangements were made to accomodate dog owners. Some beaches banned dogs completely, even on a leash. I found this attitude very short sighted and unpleasant.Guest review byPeterSouth Africa - 10.0
Natures Valley is very special.
Natures Valley is very special. Most other bays in the area are over developed and commercialised. Natures Valley still captures the time when going to the beach was not all about how magnificent your property was. Lets hope it stays that way.Guest review byBruceNew Zealand - 10.0

We really enjoyed our time in Knysna, we had several activities planned and these were all fantastic. The restaurants in the tare great, there are loads of options. The town itself is quite busy and buzzing, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday this might not be the best option.Guest review byNico WieseSouth Africa - 10.0
Plettenberg Bay is a fantastic town.
Plettenberg Bay is a fantastic town. It can get very busy in season but an absolute pleasure out of season. Beaches are exquisite and there are plenty of activities in and around for couples and families. Must recommend the Waffling Whale at Formosa - food is delicious and the staff are amazing. If you want brilliant coffee you need to visit the Sotto's Deli!Guest review byKirstySouth Africa - 8.0

The number of bergies or street people hanging at the SPAR and surrounding area for the size of town was disconcerting. Nearly had an incident regarding the snatch of a cell phone. Wonderful little town with good restaurants and upkeep of paths and benches wonderful to see. Clear marking of dog friendly beaches helpful.Guest review byIngridSouth Africa
