Like a dream come true. Starting from the warm welcome from staff (Patience and Lloyd) to the decadent breakfasts our stay was delightful. All views from the suite (number 2) were exceptional. The fire in the fireplace each night warmed us and our hearts. Great gift shop. Housekeeping was amazing. And the lighted walkway was enchanting.

What an incredible decoration. The property is so pretty with all the turbines from the days the hotel was a power station, mixed with modern paintings and what not. Really adds to the atmosphere. It's connected to a gastropub which was very convenient in the evening because we were tired and didn't even have to leave the property to have a nice burger and beers(plus live music). The breakfast is amazing, I got myself a delicious eggs benedict with smoked salmon. There was loadshedding but the hotel honors its past and has a generator so we were not left in the dark. Finally, loved the vibe in Thesen Island, the canals, the calm streets, etc.

The owners, they were most helpful in pointing out things to do and best ways to get there, both of them were very knowledgeable of the area. The breakfast was very satisfying. The room was always very clean after coming back from a day out. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The general manager, Mr. Yash, went over and beyond to ensure a perfect stay in Knysna! An exceptional hospitality, warm and welcoming. Knysna faced a temporary cut of water supply, and Mr. Yash made sure this wouldn't affect our stay.

We had a good stay here at Lakeside Lodge. Comfortable and everything we needed. The view was awesome. A fan would have been great, but overall it was nice. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We ended up staying an extra night.

A beautiful town, clean, with stunning beaches. Many restaurants to eat at, really loved the Market off Main. We also enjoyed the Robberg Nature Reserve hike. We loved our stay there and will definitely go back.

Great place for a week end especially in summer. Adequate shops, coffee shops etc. Nice fish n chips, restaurants and lots of lovely places nearby like Wilderness Knysna etc. Lovely drives up the hills. Views beautiful, riding bikes fine. Walks to Gerickes point.

A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants. The Grootrivier and (Western Cape part of) the Bloukrans River passes are exceptional, as is Nature's Valley. The Birds of Eden is THE world leading bird conservancy -- the biggest anywhere with free flying birds in a magnificent forest with a beautiful kloof, waterfall ,,, The nearby Monkeyland and Jukani conservancies are also probably the best in Africa. Thyme & Again restaurant is also a favourite.

We loved staying at Waves and Whales so much! Exceeded our expectations and we had such a warm welcome. Communication was clear and perfect from when we made our booking and even after our stay. Beautiful views, stunning decor and everything and more is there...for your comfort and convenience. We loved every sunset and spent hours on the patio. We really enjoyed our time as a family and made beautiful memories.. we would love to return in the near future! Thanks for a great time and all your love and effort that you had put into your little gem! We've noticed it from the 1st moment of our arrival and appreciate it more than words could explain! Looking forward to our next stay

Natures Valley is very special.

Natures Valley is very special. Most other bays in the area are over developed and commercialised. Natures Valley still captures the time when going to the beach was not all about how magnificent your property was. Lets hope it stays that way.

vibrant and full of many different activates that you are spoilt for choices. There are animals encounter, extreme trail bike riding or tree top swings. not to mention the large amount different restaurant/cafes to choose from.

The number of bergies or street people hanging at the SPAR...

The number of bergies or street people hanging at the SPAR and surrounding area for the size of town was disconcerting. Nearly had an incident regarding the snatch of a cell phone. Wonderful little town with good restaurants and upkeep of paths and benches wonderful to see. Clear marking of dog friendly beaches helpful.
