Truly beautiful and delicious meals. It is absolutely worth getting the meals included. Every meal was a different surprise each time and featured unique seasonal and local delicacies. The local sake and pine juice were great! The view was wonderful and exactly as the listing described/showed. Our window view was right up close to the turning bridge. The staff were so kind and helpful. It was a relaxing and exceptionally enjoyable stay for the traditional ryokan experience. I loved the baths for soaking. Because there are limited guests, I often had the public bath to myself and they were always clean and well stocked. It felt much more intimate to stay here. The ryokan is right in the "heart" of activities with gift shops, restaurants, and notable sites nearby. Notably, there is a quaint gift shop inside too. It is easily walkable to Amanohashidate Station. Also, this ryokan has a side entrance/area for guests to tidy up after visiting the beach. Very considerate and showcases the spirit of omotenashi.

The breakfast and dinner was amazing and intricate with unique flavours. Our host made a lot of effort to explain the food to us in English. The room (seaview was exceptional) was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Service (including check in and check out) was like a performance art. Onsen was pretty and you can see both if you time things right.

So close to the station, very convenient. My room looked exactly like in the picture w/ a beautiful sea view of Amanohashidate & the bay. I stayed there in July, during summer, and the AC was super cold, which I really appreciated. In the bathroom they have make up cleanser, toner, lotion by Pola very convenient. They also provide some product for men, shaving cream, aftershave & lotion. I also enjoyed the foot onsen at the back of the hotel, really relaxing. The garden at the back also offers a gorgeous sea view, perfect for unwinding. There’s a nice restaurant just a one-minute walk away, located on the second floor above a shop that sells food, sweets & knickknacks. It’s also easy to access the temple, ferry tour station and some charming little shops nearby. Don’t forget to stop by a lovely cafe right by the water, it's overlooking the rotating red bridge, they serve lovely desserts.

The hotel is dated -- straight out of the 1980s. While clean, it is definitely worn and showing its age. We stayed in a ryokan-style room and used the onsen, which was well-appointed and overlooked the bay. Daily fresh yukatas were provided along with fresh towels. The view from our room was beautiful, and the hotel is right on the boardwalk making an easy walk to a grocery store, some local sites, and restaurants. The proprietor was a lovely gentleman, and clearly very proud of his hotel and area -- gave us a great restaurant recommendation. Area maps provided in multiple languages proved very useful.

The room was lovely and spacious, and the ocean view was so beautiful especially with the birds flying by. The staff were helpful and the cleaning staff especially were very friendly. The hot springs in the hotel made the quite expensive one night cost much more worth it. The hotel is also right by the station which was very important for me.

It was my first time in a ryokan and I loved to stay there. Sadly it was only for one night. Since the building is old the sanitaries are old fashioned as well, but this adds to the charme of the ryokan in my opinion. The garden view was beautiful and the onsen was very relaxing. The elderly lady at the reception was extraordinarily kind. I can highly recommend staying there, I came here after my trip to Amanohashidate, it is only one station away by train.

This place is for those who want to try a very traditional Ryokan. Futons on tatami matting and a traditional onsen (shared hot tub). There is also a small hot tub in the room. The family have been running it for 13 generations. It is designated museum as they keep it as traditional as is possible. Our room gave onto a delightful Japanese garden just in from the coast and was very tranquil. This is not for people looking for modern conveniences.

The room was in good condition. I liked the fact that it was a Japanese tatami room and the yukata was prepared, making it fun for foreigners to travel. The table in the room was also large, so it was good to eat.
