Our Rome travels were fist time for our three gran kids.

Our Rome travels were fist time for our three gran kids. Great experience learning so much and tons of walking. In June Rome is packed but having been there before we did not feel crushed. Also seems Rome and Florence where ewe also went have cleaned up their cities a lot. We had not issues with pick pockets or begging although it was around. Just protect your belongings and look around. Frankly the worst place to get lunch is in the square near the Vatican. Fair amount of begging and homelessness. That consider friendly we only saw one small car accident. Side Note: FYI We arrived in Rome airport via London on British Airways and it went well even thous the lost on bag in transfer. Coming into custom at Rome airport our one gran daughter is age 13 and half. Thus the computer scanner for passports she could not use. My wife and here were required to wait in the regular line to clear customs over a 2 and half hour wait. This caused us to miss our precooked transfer to out hotel. NUTS. Italian system is backwards. Oh the Italian train system went on strike as well so we never got to Venice.

Rome is a beautiful place, with rich history, countless of places to visit and exceptionally good if you are a foodie. However, as a big city in the south of Europe, and one that is overcrowded with tourists, it is dirty, with lots of traffic, both driving or walking. Coming from Athens, I expected these things and, to be honest, I didn't mind them, because Athens is more or less the same. So, if you don't let these things form your view about the city, be ready for lots of walking and sight-seeing. Buses, trams and the metro go everywhere, and you can also walk short to medium distances. You can always stop for a coffee and a sweet or savory snack, and you can find small potable water fountains everywhere, to fill your bottle or cool your head. As everyone else will tell you, you need to pre-book visits and buy tickets early for some places: the Vatican Museums and the Colosseum are the two most important. After visiting it twice, I can say that this will not be the end. The next time though, I will visit for two weeks, because 5 or 7 days, are just not enough. Last but not least, the Romans are excellent hosts, and if you learn a couple of Italian phrases to use, before you go there, expect a smile.

    Rome is a wonderful place.

Rome is a wonderful place. The Tourist destinations are awesome. Italian food taste Amazing especially the pasta. When it comes to transporation its easy there is Metro and Bus. However for future travellers you really need to be extra careful with the pickpockets especially in Metro. For improvements maybe they can work a little on cleanliness, safety and discipline. In addition if your not used with warm weather try not to visit during summer its hot like we experience unti 40 degrees.

Roma is an amazing city, full of history and great places to enjoy great food and drinks. The places you must visit as follows: The Colosseum, Piazza di Spagna (Spanich steps), Trastevere neighborhood at night time (the atmosphere is just amazing). Mouth of truth (bocca della verita), St. Peter's Basilica, The Vatican, Musei Vaticani, Fontana Di Trevi. I also recommend you trying Italian Gelato's, my favorite Gelateria is Old Bridge (the one opposite to Musei Vaticani)

Delicious restaurants within steps from the door. We definitely recommend for a less hectic experience in Rome with quick access to all of the historical sites. The area had a more neighborhood feel to it that was greatly appreciated. The place itself was comfortable, clean, spacious and nicely appointed. In fact, the bed was the most comfortable bed we slept in since our Italy trip started! Guglielmo was easy to communicate with and recommended some really great food options including gelato. I would absolutely recommend a stay!

The building although found in the old city of Rome, was modern and aesthetically pleasing. The room was spacious and clean and we were also offered water which we could refill from the hotel itself - who doesn’t love a sustainable act? The best part was the breakfast - so delicious and mouthwatering, I’ve never tasted such good breakfast at a hotel in Italy! The food was so genuine and fresh - pure delicacies of Rome! Finally, Erica the receptionist was so sweet and welcoming on our arrival and departure.

The location is excellent but unlike many 5 star hotels the staff were fantastic - not at all pretentious or pompous but extremely helpful, polite and very down to earth. We are lucky to have experienced many 5 star hotels around the globe but this is one of the best with great facilities, lovely spa staff and an excellent location too! The bar has an extraordinary manager who spoke super English and was extremely hospitable! We regularly travel to Italy and we will definitely stay here again!

The staff here has the best customer service I've ever received in my entire life. They welcomed us like we've been long-time friends. They showed us a map of Rome with places to see and eat. This was the first time staying in a "boutique" hotel and was an amazing experience. The rooms were clean and nice with everything in working order. It is walking distance from the Vatican City and an easy bus ride into the busy tourist areas. Check out this hotel if you plan on staying in Rome.

The bed was very spacious and very comfortable! I slept like a baby. It is also in the perfect location, right next to the station and has access to a lot of busses so it should be very easy to get around rome. The staff were amazing, specifically Jessica and Elvis, they made me feel very welcome. There’s a heatwave in italy so even after I have checked out, they made it very easy for me to rest in the hotel and even gave me towels to have a shower. Would definitely stay here again!!

This hotel is situated within 5 minutes walk from Roma Termini, very convenient if you come to Rome with a train or a plane. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is relatively rich for Rome, as you will get some ham and salami, boiled eggs. The rooms are small, but not to the point of being inconvenient. Air conditioning is working, and it does not smell with fungi as most of the units in Italy. There is an elevator, so you do not have to carry your baggage up.

This is my first stay at any hotel in Italy and I can honestly say that the receptionist set a high standard, the check in process was easy and accommodating, recommending me her own personal favorite restaurants that aren't tourist traps and wow that made the trip really great, eating authentic Italian food is the best way to start discovering Rome. The rooftop for breakfast was fantastic, having some options to eat before walking around in Rome was helpful.

Apartment is located in quite nice and quiet area. Modern district which is not so typical for the old cities in Italy. Plenty of space and there is a space for a car if you travel by car. There is a small park nearby and very comfortable distances to EUR, old Rome, Shopping Malls. You may find several restaurants, shops and bars nearby. The location is quite good if you travel by car. I recommend this UNA property 100%. The entire hotel was so clean (big lobby and room), staff was efficient and friendly, room was spacious, and breakfast was great. Great location and value. Only 5min walk from Rome Termini station and 10-15 min walk to Colosseum and Trevi. I stayed in an UNA in Catania and when I wasn’t sure where to stay in Italy, I chose this UNA. From now on, I will start by finding an UNA hotel.

This was the best hotel in Italy we have visited out of 7. Very clean, comfortable and with good vibe. Great outdoor swimming pool - we loved it after hot day. But the best was customer service. We have left a wallet and they helped us a lot and sent the wallet back. Location was good, not far from the metro station and when we used taxi from the city centre was not expensive. We had a very good time.

The staff is amazing and very helpful. It is important to note that most hotels in Italy do not provide irons in their rooms for safety reasons. They may be able to accommodate you using an iron in a private room, or they may be able to get it serviced at a local laundromat. The staff will do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, no matter what.

Hotel Cellini embraces the charm of the old city of Rome to perfection. Laura from reception and the entire staff were wonderful. We ended our Italy adventure with a perfect room, a perfect location and with no stress. Thank you Hotel Cellini.

When in Rome we will always stay at this hotel. Absolutely perfect. The best breakfast in all of Italy. Wonderful staff. No complaints whatsoever. Close to all kinds of public transport. Not a very long walk to the old town.
