Great location for the airport especially if you have an early flight out of Lisbon, like we did. You can either walk up to the terminal building from the hotel (it takes about 5-10 minutes), or there is a free shuttle bus that runs every 15 mins, We were very pleased with the hotel and the facilities and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The evening buffet served from 6.30pm is well worth having and very good value for money. The rooms are very comfortable and extremely quiet and the bonus is that breakfast is served from 2am which for us having to get up at 4am, was just what we needed and didn’t expect. The buffet was superb and from 7am, they do start serving hot meals. I did not expect such a good airport hotel (they are normally quite average for the price) and would most definitely stay here again. There is also a hotel car park where we parked and dropped the bags off, before returning the car that we had hired. The cost for the car park is included, if you staying at this hotel.

Facing the Tagus River and built on seven hills, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It offers unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: the Belém's famous monuments; the Alfama's labyrinthine streets, bars and small shops; and the trendy Alcântara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are located in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in the Baixa.
Enjoy a walk in the greenery of Jardim Botânico, admire the architecture of the Jerónimos Monastery or explore Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese food. No meal is complete without some famous pastéis de nata!
Getting to the city centre is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cosy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your holiday in Lisbon.
Lovely city but I was not impressed with the waterfront area...
Lovely city but I was not impressed with the waterfront area - I'm comparing it to Porto though. City is extremely hilly and the cobblestones are slippery - can be a challenge for some. We did enjoy Lisbon but 4 days would have been sufficient - we had 5 days at the beginning of our trip and 1 day prior to flying home and we felt it was too long. We did a day trip to one of the beach towns - it was lovely.

Saw the Monastery which was definitely worth the visit.
Saw the Monastery which was definitely worth the visit. Found a great place for Natas - Castro - Atelier de Pastéis de Nata on R, Garrett 38 - the best we had during our visit to Portugal. Tiny shop but you can eat what you purchase on the terrace directly in front. We easily found charming places to eat around our hotel. The Portuguese people we met were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having our breakfast at a local café near our hotel. We were astounded that all cars and buses stopped in their tracks at round points to allow pedestrians to cross very busy streets. The old city was lovely and easy to walk around. We tried to buy tickets for 2 sights online with our phones. First of all you must connect to the Portuguese National Monuments sight. For some reason the sights would not accept our credit cards from Canada. The receptionist at our hotel helped by purchasing our tickets for the Monastery and we paid her back immediately in cash. However, this which meant we were sadly unable to visit Sintra National Palace. We probably should have splurged and bought a ticket with a group before leaving Canada in order to see this unique sight (transport and ticket included). Bought a 24 hour ticket for the red and blue hop on hop off bus. We only used the red bus. There was a long boring stretch along the docks to the Monastery and Belem Tower. We waited over 40 minutes for a red bus to take us back to our departure point. The audio guides or head phones did not work on the bus. We noticed other passengers had the same issue. Would not recommend the hop on hop off bus. We think we might have preferred the Yellow bus and tram option. Took the metro (subway) fairly easy to use.

The public transport in Lisbon is quite complex, but just take a bus, metro or tram where you can, swipe with card to pay and go! No need for any other 3 or 4 day travel ticket, what so ever. The Tramlines run very randomly, hours long waiting time in the end stop - take next stop around the corner to get on a train. The ultimate must in Lisbon is to eat the delicious cakes - any café is good, but try Pastelaria Suíça, Praça da Figueira 5C, 1100-240 Lisboa, Portugal. In peak time be prepared to stay in lines for hours, everywhere.

My first time to Lisbon, the city has amazing architecture...
My first time to Lisbon, the city has amazing architecture and is spotless including public transport. Coming from Ireland, restaurants are extremely cheep and quality of food, especially fish meals is excellent. World famous for it delicious Sardines. Airport has a bus and underground network, very cheep and always on time to any location with connections. Many restaurants close from 4 to 7 afternoon on the outskirts. Only issue it's not a place to watch football as majority of restaurants don't turn on sound on TVs 😢 even if Portugal is playing.
Lisbon is an amazing city to visit for families, couples or solo travellers. Can't wait to return 🇮🇪

We spent 4 days in Lisbon and loved the experience.
We spent 4 days in Lisbon and loved the experience. Very pretty city with friendly people. Weather was as expected very nice, there was a good variety of restaurants and for the most part not crazy expensive.
Cafes served delicious pastries with good coffee and a smile. The metro day ticket is very good value for money, for 6.80 euros we used the trams, busses and metro to see a large part of the city. Did a day trip with the train to Sintra which was beautiful and part of the Lisbon experience. The locals were friendly even though we did not speak Portuguese. Very willing to help a confused tourist to find the way, Our party of 4 would recommend Lisbon for a long weekend visit.

Lisbon is a lovely city.
Lisbon is a lovely city. The old town is full of character and history. There is an area for lively night life. Plenty of good fairly priced restaurants. The sea front and surrounding area are bit touristy, but worth a visit. The is a lot to see and discover.
I could not have been happier with my stay. Jessica at reception and the entire staff provided exceptional service. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Without a doubt, this is a professionally run hotel and it is where will stay again when I return to Lisbon in the near future. The service was impeccable. EVERYTHING about this place was great. The other thing that I loved about this place is how close it is situated to the Lisbon's METRO system. Absolutely the best - hated to leave. A big thank you to the entire staff.
Browns boutique hotel had everything and more, the location was perfect for exploring Lisbon and all the entertainment around the local area, The room had all the facilities you would need including fridge, coffee and tea making and a complimentary bottle of wine. The staff were excellent and accommodating of any request made. The breakfast was easily the best we have had over the last 5 hotels that we stayed in during our 3 week trip. We would highly recommend the hotel and will look to book again when visiting Lisbon again
The hotel has a good location - metro stations, from which you can get to the airport or the city centre, are within walking distance. In addition, the neighbourhood is not in an overly touristy part of Lisbon, which means you get to see a bit more of normal life in the city. The staff were friendly and the check-in went smoothly. The room we booked was larger than others in hotels in this price range, very spacious. The fitness room was also an advantage, even if it was a bit outdated. Overall a good hotel.
If you’re looking for a 5 star hotel with free foot massage, jacuzzi and spritz aperol served in your room every evening, go elsewhere. If you need a simple, functional, clean and comfortable room with a lovely, caretaking landlady, in a house which maintains coolness inside despite hot weather and is located in a quite and nice neighbourhood of Lisbon (a few hundred meters away from the river, the tower of Belem and the Jeronimos monastery, all of this at a very reasonable price, this place is for you!
We booked 2 beds in a 4 room dorm which was our best decision to book in The centre house Lisbon. Rooms were so cute clean and modern . Very spacious and beautiful. Loved my stay , staff was amazing, helpful. It felt like staying in a luxury hotel/ hostel.
Everything was perfect for us, our roommates were amazing. The hostel had really good vibes and the best thing is its right in the centre . Everything is around it. I wish to go back again to lisbon and stay the same place. I highly recommend it.
Great location, away from the noise and tight alleys. The hotel is situated at the train station (no noise) which is quite convenient if you’re looking to access the metro or do any day trips from lisbon. Convenience store right inside the train station.
Super clean and nicely furnished rooms with fresh towels and toiletries, looks newly renovated. Most importantly for us Arabs, there’s a hose (bidet/ شطاف) :)
I wouldn’t go as far and call it 5 star but it is a good value one.
Everything! This is now our favorite place to stay at Lisbon, a 4 stars hotel with the quality of 5 stars. The design is so well thought, the room was incredibly comfortable and spacious, the staff was always so friendly and helpful. The heated pool is definitely a must-go! And the breakfast? Best so far! Its a place not for stays but for full Lisbon experiences. Couldn’t recommend it enough! Please always choose this hotel!
This is my 3rd stay at the Portugal Boutique Hotel. The last visit was in 2019. If I am lucky enough to come to Lisbon again, I will certainly stay here. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are delicious. The location is very central, and the #28 trolley runs behind the hotel. I met friends here and the hotel.booked a car and driver to take us back to the airport. The staff made everything easy.
The staff are amazing, especially Martini, who goes out of his way to make every guest feel welcome and special. The position is unbeatable and should get 11/10. It's right in the very best heart of Lisbon. You are also just a few meters away from the Metro Restadoudoris. Take the metro from the airport 1.50€.. Don't come expecting a 5* hotel, but rather a boutique hostel with a 5* vibe. Highly recommended.
It's a beautiful hotel and a lovely place to stay. The garden square outside is gorgeous and you are walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The staff were exceptional, very welcoming and helpful. Delicious breakfast and great bar. There are not many hotels of this standard in Lisbon so if you're looking for the best but without the impersonal nature of the big chains, then this is for you.
Absolutely best hostel ever. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time in hostel, in Lisbon and in Portugal.
They have dinner Events, pub crawl, fado, etc. They also gave us a guide for beaches on the West Coast. They als kept some of my stuff and I picked them up 2 weeks later when I returned to Lisbon, this was a huge help.
Just about anything - in particular the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. I travel extensively (at least pre-Covid) but how you are treated in this hotel is par to the best 5 stars in the world. An extra thanks to the bartender (whose name I do not remember but who introduced me to amazing wines) and the two ladies who did the free guided tours, Mrs. Silvestre and Mrs. Guitana.
Exceptionally clean, extremely spacious, and beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and attentive. They would reach out to me via WhatsApp to make sure I had everything I needed. Keyless entry made check in very easy. I would absolutely stay here again in Lisbon. Best aparthotel I’ve ever rented jn Europe and my mom and grandma both agreed :)
Our room was large and set up exactly as we had requested.
Staff was excellent, particularly the breakfast staff. Breakfast was excellent with many options. One of the best breakfast situations I have ever had. Library on the top floor with available beverages was excellent. We loved Lisbon, and this hotel was one of the reasons why. Thank you!
The service throughout the hotel was 5 star excellent.
The food in the Cervejaria Liberdade was AMAZING! The best sole I've ever eaten.
We wanted to try more restaurants in Lisbon, but kept going there because it was so good.
The SEEN bar has terrific views... but it's a "scene" and there is alot of smoking which kinda ruins it for me
Beautiful hotel in a great location - walking distance to everything! The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our welcome gift in the room when we arrived. We also really enjoyed being able to go to the rooftop bar, which was closed on the day we were there, except for hotel guests. One of the best views we had while in Lisbon!
Best location and great hosts. Much better than expected. The rooms are very comfortable and the patio is great! Very good breakfast. Atmosphere from a hostel, but comfortable as a 5 star hotel. Amazing and surprising place in Lissabon! Highly recommended!
Everything. I don’t normally compare hotels from other countries to the US hotels because the standard is different but this hotel is at par to any 5 star US hotels. Highly recommended. Will stay here again when we return to Lisbon in the future.
Big rooms, nice decoration and tall ceilings - tried several of these "boutique" hotels in Lisbon and this one was by far the best one in terms of value for money.
I highly recommend this Hostel to stay for your next trip to the fascinating and lively city of Lisbon. It’s like a 5 star hotel without the expensive price.
