The property was beautiful inside and out. It is the nicest room we have experienced in a very long time.
The staff were so friendly and helpful.
The continental breakfast was beautifully presented. The cooked breakfast selection was excellent.

Staying at Shrigley Hall was very special for us as the village we are from in Northern Ireland was named after Shrigley Hall. The location is great. Setting is absolutely stunning . The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. We had fun exploring Manchester, Chester and surrounding areas. We didn’t pay to use the Spa but from what we saw it looked amazing. Thanks

A good base to visit Peak District.
A good base to visit Peak District. Shopping centre in decline. Local bus services in decline but possible to reach Hayfield and Buxton. Plus very good train service to Manchester, London, Birmingham etc. Some good eateries - especially excellent Plums Kitchen.

I like Macclesfield because it is a pretty town with good links to Manchester if you need the big city, the Peak District if you like walking, and Buxton if you want a bit of culture. The town is of a manageable size with pretty parks, and it has various small events going on in the local pubs, plus each month there is the Treacle Market, which is a popular feature of Macclesfield.

I came for the silk museum and the Paradise Mill which I can recommend both. The Treacle Market on the last Sunday of the month was a good experience. The weather was sunny, but often was a chill strong wind, I missed a hat. It takes only 30 minutes to travel by train to Manchester, and about 2 hours to London. There are good restaurants and pubs! There are many places to take a nice walk in the nature of the surrounding area, but unfortunately I had to postpone them.

The Tytherington hotel is well worth a stay as they have a good Spa & pool. Another small hotel nearby is BoHotel & eatery, lovely. Free car parking available for the town centre too.

I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure.
I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure. It is a small town where shops and restaurants generally close quite early.
I did not have anytime to do any sightseeing in the town or outside - so I cannot really comment about the place from a leisure point of view.
Lovely cosy cottage. The owners had left coffee, tea, milk, sugar, biscuits and tea cakes which was a really nice touch. The views from the back of property is lovely. The cottage was immaculately clean and smelt amazing. Bed was really comfortable and pillows were perfect for me. My favourite thing was the log burner. Just a lovely chilled weekend. We went to a concert in Manchester the first night and it was very expensive to stay in Manchester, so we stayed in Macclesfield and I'm glad we did. A little gem
Good choice available for breakfast. My choice of a traditional cooked breakfast was good. Prestbury is an attractive village and sited in it's centre, next to the River Bollin, this hotel with a period building at its core, is a very pleasant place to stay. From Prestbury one can easily get into Manchester by car or train. Also on its doorstep are the hills of Derbyshire and Buxton further to the east.
I loved all the information the owners of the hotel provided for the stay. Although I didn't meet them you could tell they really care about the people who stay there and want to provide the best experience as possible. Additionally, the bed was incredibly comfortable and there were such nice touches for the price you pay. Definitely great value in an excellent location.
The location is 4 mins walk from the train station in amongst some really lovely bars and restaurants. The room itself is super cute and it is clear the host has put some real thought on what could make your stay special. The room has all the amenities you need and is given a quick clean every day. A choice of hot or cold breakfast is available, which was tasty.
Hotel looked really something as you drive up the grand driveway with its lights and trees this has been decorated beautifully for Christmas.
The hotel is set in sprawling acres of Cheshire countryside and the location is perfect for rest and relaxation.
The room was a great size and the bed was super comfy we had an amazing sleep.
The hotel is a lovely building, very tucked away with gorgeous views. The rooms was cozy, nice and warm. When we stayed there was a christmas party one night and a wedding the next and we did not hear a single noise from the room. Staff are friendly. The dining area is beautifuly decorated and the food was delicious.
The location is great - close to the train station and shops and canal of Macclesfield and is very quiet. The kitchen is very well stocked with all utensils needed. We had a bottle of Prosecco left for us which we drank on our anniversary - nice touch. The host was available for all queries that we had.
Room was nice and big, bathroom had both a tub and a shower, never ending really hot water, hotel front is an older castle-looking building, rear section built in 1980s. Great location, close to pharmacy and village.
The staff are friendly and professional. The food is high quality and the rooms are clean, with modern bathrooms. I always look to book this hotel ahead of any other in this area whenever travelling here for work.
Fantastic hotel in the middle of Macclesfield, it has lots of character and the hotel downstairs was really great! It really added something to our visit.
Perfect Spa! one night with massage the other with warm swimming pool Jacuzzi and sauna.
No need to go out of the hotel :)
Very comfortable. Good food.
