Our host was very nice and friendly. By the time arrived she had already sent a whatsapp message with sightseeing information. She literally created an itinerary for us before we could even check which was a really gesture on her part. Very nice and friendly host.

We stayed in the beautiful Eros suite. Lovely sea views, private hot tub, spacious and really clean. Hosts were lovely and super helpful, particularly Mike who picked us up and took us back to the airport. Very close to a cafe bar, bakery and supermarket.

Mantilida Villa, hotel in Emporio Santorini

Offering a shared, outdoor pool, terrace and sun terrace, Mantilida Villa is set in Emporio in the Santoríni Region. Fira is 7 km from the property.

The villa is located in a quiet part of Emporeio, out of the busy touristy parts of Santorini. The accommodation is spacious, well equipped. The pool is great, especially on hot days to cool down a bit. The host is responsive and proactive, it was easy to find the villa based on the directions provided. It's also nice to have access to the garage as parking in the area is sparse. As others noted, smaller cars are better to navigate the road leading up to the villa, there are some tight squeezes where the sideview mirrors can scrape the walls if not driven carefully. Emporeio is a quaint little town, it's fun to discover its maze of streets. One never knows what quaint view comes around the next bend. For dinner (and breakfast) would highly recommend the Old Barber Shop which is just a 5 minute walk.

Thank you George and all your team for this great welcome and your amazing hospitality during our time at the villa. You made us feel right at home. The place is amazing. Short walk to the shops and this side of the island is the best in my opinion! We will be back! Thanks again for everything! Nicolas / Andrew

Great location to stay when visiting various places in Santorini! The Venetian Castle was beautiful and walking through the old narrow streets was so very dreamy. Make sure to stop by the Old Barber Shop for coffee/juice and a quick bite to eat (accompanied by a quaint view).

I'm glad we got the opportunity to see Santorini, but we will probably never go back due to the amount of cruise ships that bring in people. You can not even walk down the streets or move around. It is crazy! The day we went the cruises were bringing 17,000 people to the island for the day!

See my review for Loukas Kontos Traditional House (in Emporio). Santorini is only 12 miles by 6 miles so very easy to see pretty much all of the island in a few days - or spend a good chunk lazing on beaches (many with free sunbeds with drinks from the restaurant).

it is quite central on the island if you wish to see both ends, bit far from oia but honestly you can just go once for the sunset and then all will be close to you, there are markets and gyros places, as well as pharmacy and bakery etc

    Lovely village.

Lovely village. A walk up into the old town was beautiful with the tiny streets and white washed buildings. Lovely view over Perissa. Beautiful sunsets. Local amenities include a couple of super markets, some small restaurants and coffee shop, bakery, bus stop. I would highly recommend staying in Sugarwhite Suites when staying anywhere on the island. The accommodation is stunning, the location in Emporio is superb with excellent links to the rest of the island, the hosts are out of this world. 10/10

3 days 2 nights were the perfect length.

3 days 2 nights were the perfect length. Best to get around with cars if possible, but roads are windy and a bit rough for such a lovely touristy spot for international travellers. Gets crowded in the afternoon, so best to go really early for sunrise before the crowds arrive from the ferries and other towns. Oia would be the busiest, Fira next and then Pyrgos. Pyrgos was actually lovely with a square for food and walking up to the caldera views. Wonderful people and spot for photos for sure.
