There was special chocolate candy in our room upon our arrival and even treats in the lobby area each day. We appreciated being able to make hot tea (and coffee) in our room and the thoughtful beverages provided for us in the mini-fridge. The boxed breakfasts were pleasant treats each morning.
Our room was quiet--we didn't hear other guests. We really liked the two-room suite. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the sofa in the other room either reading or watching TV after we came home from the theater. We were pleased to discover that we had the ability to use our Netflix on the TV.

A pleasant small town even in winter with enjoyable seasonal lights along the river and downtown. A relaxed friendly atmosphere in all the stores and restaurants/cafes we visited. Interesting older buildings in some of the local neighbourhoods.

Always a great visit.
Always a great visit. We go almost every year and see two plays each time and have yet to be disappointed. Stratford is great place to relax, have good food and quite evenings. Don't miss the Stratford Perth Museum, a great learning experience about Stratford! If you have a bit of extra time visit Saint Marys. And, if you like Indian cuisine don't miss Raja Fine Indian Cuisine.
I have stayed in several hotels and inns in Stratford over the years and this one had the best location. It's a little old, but unlike many of the older hotels, it had an elevator which was important for me. I don't walk well, but the location is so good it was easy to walk to all the theatres and the downtown shopping. This meant I did not have to drive once we booked into the hotel, and that I could have a drink in the intermission of the plays. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely book here again.
The location couldn’t be more perfect—centrally located and yet a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of commercial Stratford. Amanda and John are lovely hosts, gifted at anticipating needs. John’s breakfasts are artful and delicious! The house has been lovingly restored and thoughtfully appointed, with comfortable spaces to relax and eye-catching art. Our room was airy and welcoming. The deck and the old lilac blooming outside our window were special treats.
The location was amazing, and walking distance to all of the main areas of Stratford. It was also right along the water so very close to take a nice walk each day. The room was beautiful, and very clean. We had no issues with anything and enjoyed the little extras - coffee mugs made of pottery, coffee, yoga mat, etc. Parking was free which was appreciated.
Eric and Sharon were fantastic hosts. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable, and even found a dinner reservation for us on New Year’s Eve when we thought we were out of luck. Their breakfast is top notch and entirely made in house, too. If you find yourself in Stratford, I highly recommend staying at Tranquil Days!
It was just as described and we were very happy with the cleanliness and staff. It made our trip to Stratford very enjoyable. Now, they told us they are retiring, so I hope they enjoy their time and know that they had a great place for the guests that visited.
awesome downtown location close to everything you’d like to see in Stratford. completely contactless entrance and check in - no carrying keys around! nicely decorated loft style room, and you can even get in room cocktail service from a speakeasy next door!
Antique refurbished hotel, but brought up to the current standards to make guest comfortable. Every stair case corner and the reception is beautifully decorated. Also the location is amazing, right at the heart of the town, next to the city hall.
Comfortable and well equipped 2 br. We are vegetarian and so appreciated having fridge and microwave etc. it was in the centre of Stratford and easy to walk around town and to Avon River. Staff were friendly and available.
Beautiful hotel in Stratford. The young girl at the front desk was very welcoming. and helpful. The pool facility was really nice and the rooms are exceptional. The bed was very comfy and the whole room felt spacious
The perfect location in Stratford! Steps away from the best dining in town! Just a quick 5 min. walk to the Avon & Studio Theaters, 10 min. to the Tom Patterson Theater, and 20 minute stroll to the Festival Theater!
Lovely place to stay and relax in Stratford. Close to everything, a nice short walk to the shops. Everything was well thought out and breakfast was filling and very tasty.
Really lovely place, with fantastic and friendly staff- so close to restaurants, bars and sights! Clean, great amenities- the best hotel of our trip around Ontario.
