I am a regular visitor. The Graduate is a wonderful hotel. I love the location, the rooms, the ample work areas, and the lovely little coffee shop downstairs. On most occasions, the staff is pleasant, helpful, friendly, and makes us feel welcome. The ladies who clean the rooms are very special in many ways: they are welcoming, they do a wonderful job and they are always ready to help with the little things that make for a nice stay: a bit of help with the TV, extra Kleenex when needed, etc.

Nearly everything! Cleanliness, staff, location..superb..parking rate per day was a little pricey. However, I understand parking in metro areas is limited, so rates are usually hiked. Overall, the Cambria offered everything I love in a hotel and I will definitely stay at this location again and again 😀

Clean, new apartment building with in-lot parking available. Well appointed living space. Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. In apartment laundry.

There are great museums, restaurants and other sites to see in New Haven, Modern and Zuppardi's are my favorite pizza places. I would avoid the "famous" spots in Wooster area -- the founders are gone and the kids don't know how to make pizza. However, I would not stay in the city. Ugly traffic and construction and you would have to park in a off street facility. Better to stay outside in the many suburbs and also less expensive. Pictures below are from Cafe Fiore in Branford -- great food.

Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven.
Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven. A lovely town to enjoy for a long weekend. Simply walking the campus at Yale can soothe your soul. Great eateries and shops, fun historical landmarks, special cultural treats from museums to architecture.
You MUST go to Louis Lunch, home of the first hamburger. Milkcraft makes icecream in front of your eyes with liquid nitrogen. Several bookstore/coffeeshop options.
The Group W Bench will appeal to your inner hippie. Plenty of museums to enjoy.
Don't forget to ask for a room with a view of campus when you stay at The Study.

We came to area for daughter college graduation, had her car parked in parking lot under a street light and it was stolen. Apparently the hotel camera didn’t cover the parking lot !!!!! We understand it isn’t the hotel’s fault someone would steal a car from their parking lot, but security is not a top priority at this location!!

Trip from Hell:
Trip from Hell:
My flight was cancelled (United Airline) very poor service and worst customer service I have ever encountered. had to finally book another airline. So, I send a message to inform the hotel that I would only be arriving a day late. When I finally arrived the reception clerk informed me that my booking had been cancelled and he couldn't find it in the system. he told me to step aside very rudely. His senior finally came to help him. And miraculously they both found my book. I then presented my credit card which was declined. And he informed me loudly that it had been declined, I gave him another card it was declined again. My daughter (leaves in the USA) gave him her card, gain it was declined. So, I called my bank in South Africa. Who quickly informed me to tell the clerk to stop tapping Rand 35 000. Due to fraud, you can only tap Rands only 250. Note not fraud in South Africa but global!!! The clerk informed me that all the cards he is used to in the USA accepted Tapping!!! i told him the world has changed not everyone/VISITERS come from America. The world is now global!!!!
The hotel is barebones but the staff was friendly at check-in and checkout and for any needs. (For example, our hairdryer didn't work and it was fixed immediately).
The rooms are a little tired (the carpet is torn at the edges etc...) but are very big. We were on the top floor and had a nice view of the city.
The location is super central and useful. The parking was convenient but expensive (~$25 a day).
Seemed like the best value for money in New Haven.
The loft (201) was very roomy and very nicely decorated. It had everything needed for a short stay, great shower, comfortable bed, TV and kitchen. A nice bakery/coffee shop on the ground floor and a pub steps away from the building. it is located one block away from State street station in New Haven and 10 min walking distance from the Yale university art gallery.
Beautiful hotel, staff were extremely pleasant! We loved our room! The mirror was SO cool and the bed was very comfy. Very quiet as well! Also we were out late and I was waiting by the doors for my boyfriend to come in and the staff checked on me to make sure I was okay. Which was so nice!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The check-in process was smooth and hosts were really responsive. Kitchen was well-stocked and the place was exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds. The location is great with close to all key spots in New Haven. We will definitely return in future.
We loved the room and the shared spaces. The pillows were top notch (hard to find in a hotel)! The hotel itself was masterfully decorated and the coffee was exquisite. Helpful and kind staff, perfect location. Only wish we had stayed longer!
Newly renovated hotel with a great decoration. The building itself has a designer vibe and the rooms have been designed following a Bauhaus vibe too. Rooms are very big with any modern facility you may need. Plenty of free parking space too.
Rooms out of date and run down. Access to checkin via car almost impossible. Ubers lined up and not moving for 20 minutes. Had to park in no parkong zone to check in and I know New Haven tickets regularly.
This is an excellent hotel downtown New Haven, with a few minutes walk from Yale. It is nicely decorated and with a good taste. The room was spacious and very comfortable also to work.
I loved how the property had a 24/7 security guard. That made me really comfortable at night. The property is also gated which I appreciated given the area the hotel was located in.
Modern and beautiful interior design. Very consistent from the lobby though the guestrooms. Very thoughtfully redeveloped. Very close the Yale and the New Haven downtown.
Modern hotel that is walking distance from Yale campus with a small gym. Room is clean and beds are comfortable but decor feels a bit clinical and lack warmth.
