Views were many and vast. The local history is fun and fascinating. From the civil war, the liquor running days, Chicago mob influence, and the present day Schools and hang gliding, you can find a topic to delve into or you can hike forever.

The Garden Walk Inn is so quaint and serene that I never want to leave! I have been there twice, in two different rooms, and loved it each time. The first time, breakfast was served on the outside deck, and the second time, we ate in the dining room inside. Two different atmospheres, and I can't decide which I liked better! Both were wonderful and the food and service were great. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the only thing that wasn't provided was a microwave. The only other thing I could suggest would be two choices of entrees at breakfast. There are places to sit outside, a fire-pit, fountains, a swimming pool, parking, Wi-Fi, cable TV, small refrigerator in room, complimentary coffee and water in the rooms, and each is decorated with a different theme. Sweet! I never want to stay anywhere else in the area now.ShelleyUnited States of America
