The location was great and I really loved the pre-check in and key card on my phone. That was awesome. The hotel is right down the street from everything and we could see the ocean/Morro rock.

Besides having what we felt was the best accommodations in all of Morro Bay the gift shop on the ground level had such a wide variety of gifts and locally designed items it was absolutely the best place to purchase souvenirs to take back home!

Loved Morro Bay, but wish we'd had more time to visit other places around the area. Easy walk to shops and restaurants on main street. We especially liked Kickers (Tabitha was awesome), The Great American Fish Company, and Blue Sky Bistro. This was our first trip to the area, but it won't be our last.

Morro Bay is a charming small oceanside town. It is quiet, at least in February when we visited. The sea lions and otters are fun to watch and listen to. There are lots of restaurants and bars to chose from for going out. We loved the wine and beer choices at The Savory Palette. There is live music but not on the night we were there.

Small town, quaint relaxing beach town.
Small town, quaint relaxing beach town. Most buildings are dated but alot of renovations going on.
Tons of antique shops to visit in town some pricey.
Great selections of food and restaurants both on wharf and in town.
This hotel was the most wonderful. Our favorite stop on our drive up the coastal highway. Morro Bay in general had a warm feeling to it right when we arrived. The room was clean, bed comfy, and the front desk woman was lovely and talked to us about the surrounding area. In the morning when we woke the Cafe next door had good breakfast food and a free gigantic cinnamon roll complimentary from the hotel was given. We were able to wake across the street to see seals and beavers floating around and sleeping. It was just lovely.
Clean room and grounds. The ocean view room had a spectacular view of the rock and sunset (worth the extra $)
Very friendly helpful staff. The room was not over furnished. Plenty of space to move around in and place gear.
Location is great for walking the old town area of Morro Bay and walking to the rock. Lots of coffee shops, bars, restaurants, park and other interesting places within walking distance. We parked our car and did not get back in it for 4 days. A true vacation!
The location was perfect...right across the street from the Morro ROCK!! The facilities were appropriate for basic needs. The room was clean, pleasant and acceptable. It appears to be an older version although it appears that the owners are trying to upgrade. It was pet friendly and the environment was pretty quiet. I stayed for 2 nights and it was comfortable for my needs.
We loved the location of this lovely vacation home! We drove to the Trader Joe's in SLO on the first night and cooked out of the beautiful, well-stocked kitchen the entire weekend. We enjoyed the hot shower after long days on the beach, and staying up at night reading historical books we bought at the local bookstore. Truly a relaxing, wonderful stay.
Morro Bay is so small even though this hotel is a little further out it is extremely walkable. You dont need to rely on a car to see things or eat. You have a nice view of the rock without hearing the sea lions all night. It is a great location in an older hotel with good views of the rock.
I had a great spacious room that had everything I needed to make my own meals. The hotel is very close to the best part of town, the embarcadero, which has nice stores, fine restaurants and is right on the water with views of the harbor, boats and wildlife.
I've been staying here everytime I go to morro bay for years and there is easy access to the beach from the location. It's also pet friendly with a a fair extra fee. Love this place.
The hotel, was perfect, and very clean. The staff was exceptional and so polite. Hotel is on the water and close to restaurants and ships, which we could of stayed longer
This hotel was clean and comfortable. Had a beautiful view of the Morro Bay Rock. It was close to stores, bars, and restaurants. I would definitely recommend it!
Morro Bay is a nice little village on the Highway 1. Fireside Inn is a simple motel and fits perfect for a short stopover. Rooms are big and the beds are good.
