Few outside dining options. Great marina. Great charter fishing with Captain Harry Nields on the Kingfish II. Few breakfast options with outside seating in early June during the week. Still a lot of maintenance going on. Town not ready for week long visitors.

Nearby state park has a lovely beach.
Nearby state park has a lovely beach. Ocean side has wildlife refuge with great bird watching. Amazing kayaking in the estuary. Town has boardwalk and old Victorian Houses. We stop here every year on our way to the Outer Banks
Dining options not great for healthy eaters. I bring a cooler with my own breakfast

There are new options we did not have time to explore arrived late and left early. We had two great breakfasts. Would have explored more seafood options but hours of operation did not coincide with our availability.

I love the small town feel.
I love the small town feel. The free beach and parking are awesome. The town has cute shops, nice restaurants and a couple of breweries. And if you need more excitement, VAB is only 45 minutes away.

The beach was good.
The beach was good. The rooms were outdated and beds were not comfortable and the AC was too noisy. The beach is within 5-10 minutes walking from the rooms. Walking from the hotel to the beach was thru a RV parking area.🤪

So much to enjoy in this charming area.
So much to enjoy in this charming area. Main Street in Cape Charles offers everything including various lodging and dining options, sightseeing, and shopping. There are beaches nearby including one adjacent to Jack's Spot at Sunset Beach (Sunset Beach is a great multi-lodging-option resort!) Only about 4.5 hours from our home in PA, it's close enough for a long weekend.
Hotel is very close to Cape Charles downtown and beach ( 10 min drive) . The room is big and beds were decently comfortable. Kitchen is a good amenitimy when traveling with kids.. I di found the inside of the kitchen drawers not very clean ( I did came in with my lizol wipes and cleaned everything just in case and washed the dishes before using them...you never know) Dont expect awesome amenities or fancy rooms but for the price is a good hotel. I would recommend the hotel to preasure was the exterior
.
We stayed one night in the hotel and the next morning went down to talk to someone in the lobby about the unsatisfactory conditions of the hotel and the staff was super helpful. They gave us a cabin in the KOA campground attached to the hotel. The cabins were clean and spacious. They did have a restaurant down by the beach which was only open limited times during this time of year but it had very good food and the staff were wonderful. The beach is dog friendly and small but very nice.

Location is amazing! It's a few miles from downtown area of Cape Charles and the parking is easy (you pull right up to your place). The price is an awesome deal. The rooms are small but you don't need much more. Can't wait to return when the pool bar is open. Ohhh and the towels were fluffy!
The hotel location while not at the actual beach or town portion was not very far from the town of Cape Charles. The employees of the motel were very friendly. My son enjoyed feeding and touching the bunnies that are on site.
The motel room was very clean, comfortable bed, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, large flat screen tv, small table & 2 chairs. Had a pool but we didn't use. We spent one night. It was near by Cape Charles.
upgraded motor lodge. perfect if you don’t want to stay in a shoebox chain hotel. treated like family. granted there will be some that it doesn’t meet there standards. wife and I loved it.
The location was perfect for what I had planned while in Cape Charles. The comfort and immenities of the room were great. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.
Nothing, place is a dump - they are an RV park that happens to have an old hotel on the grounds. The RV section is close to the water teh hotel is not.
